he's still the same type of right wing populist he's presented himself as since 2015, just that now he's been able to consolidate the entire GOP apparatus into a personalistic regime. the multi year primary plus campaign cycle sucks for myriad reasons, but one of the few positives that comes out of it is that it gives a lot of time for scandalous stuff about the candidate to come out, allowing us to see how they and their operation function under stressful/difficult circumstances
