Also, I hate that *we* have all been through the experience of liking a guy, just for him to be crushing on someone else. Especially when you and the guy are of the same culture and the other girl is NOT. Why is this a formative experience for us? 😭 coming of age in the worse way

Plus I may talk about it one day when I don’t think I’ll get jumped lol. But the time when the acolyte was premiering, and it became clear there was a romance element, was VERY interesting to observe in fandom & I think it’s worth nuanced conversation. A lot of varied opinions. But that’s my piece!

No shade and not to dig it back up, but I distinctly remember a couple people saying they were not going to watch the acolyte out of spite. I saw other things that rubbed me wrong at the time. But I don’t use it to generalize. Especially given I know quite a few reylos via the show and I like y’all.
