I checked in for a few episodes of last season of queer eye so this was front of mind going in to Wonderman as QE had just done an episode about how the queer one in a big family has a completely different experience than everyone else
#Wonderman is a queer allegory. And I think the birthday party addresses the “unspoken” way that some black families often treat queer family members.
