This is my first time seeing Knives Out but yeah this explains how a lot of white people think. And how their privilege works.

He said TLJ was created in a “fearless bubble” of “pure love for Star Wars”

He still regularly gets people coming up to him and gushing about how much TLJ means to them and how it made them feel like a kid watching SW again. (This was super nice to hear!)

While I figure this out, my initial thoughts are that:
A) Rian is humble and constantly deflects praise to himself to praise for the franchise

B) He super loves SW and tried always to make something true to what he loved as a kid

C) He’s very much focused on the positive reception of fans

Yeah and that’s the most frustrating thing because they could just do it anyway and let it find the right audience. Alas, like you said, capitalism.

Yeah agree. I don’t think they’re brave nor (insert adjective here) enough based on whatever they got going on. It would be nice though.

Thesis: Jedi are good
Antithesis: Jedi are bad
Synthesis: It's not about good or bad. It's about power and who gets to wield it.

These words are literally spoken in The Acolyte. But we have not yet seen the synthesis play out on screen.

Agree. But why do they immediately assume the loud ones yield their profit? Is it because they know that their negativity will *impact* profit?
