Plus I may talk about it one day when I don’t think I’ll get jumped lol. But the time when the acolyte was premiering, and it became clear there was a romance element, was VERY interesting to observe in fandom & I think it’s worth nuanced conversation. A lot of varied opinions. But that’s my piece!

No shade and not to dig it back up, but I distinctly remember a couple people saying they were not going to watch the acolyte out of spite. I saw other things that rubbed me wrong at the time. But I don’t use it to generalize. Especially given I know quite a few reylos via the show and I like y’all.

Some vegan places don’t realize their desserts don’t need to be sweeter than sugar. They just need to be vegan and taste good.

“A California ban won’t just protect citizens from toxic chemicals; it will also remind us that better cooking doesn’t come from better coatings. It comes from better choices.”

We agree, Chef Zimmern! It’s time to phase out PFAS from cookware.
Opinion | We Need to Ban Nonstick Pans
America will be better off without nonstick pans: healthier, safer and perhaps even more skilled at cooking.

This is my first time seeing Knives Out but yeah this explains how a lot of white people think. And how their privilege works.

He said TLJ was created in a “fearless bubble” of “pure love for Star Wars”

He still regularly gets people coming up to him and gushing about how much TLJ means to them and how it made them feel like a kid watching SW again. (This was super nice to hear!)

While I figure this out, my initial thoughts are that:
A) Rian is humble and constantly deflects praise to himself to praise for the franchise

B) He super loves SW and tried always to make something true to what he loved as a kid

C) He’s very much focused on the positive reception of fans

See people complained that the acolyte murder mystery was revealed early but like… that’s not unusual.
