I don’t get people acting like ffxiv doesn’t write its women well, if anything it’s a rare example where I feel like they get written like everyone else instead of being shoved in specific roles..? The EN loc is where the problem is (even Nael was too much for them I guess :))) ) not the game itself

I feel like Nael got a character role female characters don’t get often, of not just an evil empire commander but the main villain (of 1.0), and she even gets cool ominous armor and is known for her ruthleness? More media should do that thank you ffxiv she makes me unwell

The EN loc for FFXIV is absolute dogshit, which is why I play it in Japanese, and urge anyone that’s able to to play in literally any other language, I hear German and French locs are much more faithful. Its frustrating because I know that’s not possible for everyone…

I'm on 3.2 now, and even if Minfilia says it was her choice to become the voice of the planet, it feels like her faith was taken advantage of and its not all that different from tempering. Nael is my favorite so I think about her a lot, and I couldn't help but see the similarities in their fates.

It’s not a fate you’d wish on your worst enemy (Alisaie sure didn’t…) and certainly not someone like Minfilia…. Very lamb led to slaughter vibes…..
fantastic setup for a villain though, and holy shit that patch art!! It’s a shame they apparently dont follow through….
