I don't know how much this shift was always planned and how much is reactive to perceived failings of the initial setup (though it's maybe telling there's been no hint Ayu had a mentor she's bern filling in on everything before now?) but "I'M NEW BUT I KNOW ALL ABOUT YOU GUYS" feels a statement.

Also, that the only Kamen Rider stuff in the Brum Bandai store was the Gashapons that have been there a while feels like it confirms that the Zeztz streams includes the UK on "We've done this English sub anyway, and they speak, English so why not?" terms rather than us really being part of the push.

What's also interesting in relation to this is, you used to hear over and over from (unawares of his heritage) artists who had to draw him for book/VHS covers and comics in the 80s and 90s that "Peter Davison is really hard to draw."

It occurs to me that the Doctor's polyethnic identity in recent times recontextualises Peter Davison's casting in quite an interesting way.
(For context, although you'd be unlikely to guess it by looking at him, Davison's paternal family is Guyanese. He has close relatives who are visibly Black.)

One advantage of watching by plugging the laptop directly into the TV rather than putting it on a USB stick is VLC can handle the subtitles on the pop up boxes much better, so this time I'm learning about future Doctor Who guest star Thomas Edison!
