I would *love* to do more couple work! Here's a few off the top of my head.
A photo of a traditional illustration featuring two foxes holding hands as they waltz through an autumnal park. A colored sketch of two powerful-looking woman, one with purple skin and dark eyes, the other with blue scaled skin and water for hair. The blue skinned woman wraps her arms around her partner, kissing her cheekbone while both look toward the camera. Two winged women float midair, tethered by a red thread. The woman in the front, all pink and cream and adorned with many bandaids, trips forward with a look of surprise on her face. The woman behind, a little more edgy with black wings, braces her knee on the back of the woman in front as she attempts to cut the red thread. She wears a look of concentration and duty. Two partners share a slice-of-life moment at home as one, a spotted feline in the doorway, brings their striped ferret partner a steaming warm beverage while she draws, seated in front of a drafting table with many sketches strewn about the surface. The room has a calming green paint on the walls and feels very earthy and comfortable.

Oh my goodness you made @byzil.bsky.social too??? Byzil's a wonderful client of mine.

How we never met earlier than we did is mind-boggling 😂

Wonderful work here, I love the wasp/bee (and the raptor 😉)

Honestly, the best way to make an artist’s day is by being very specific about what you like about a piece. Geek out a lil. Gush over how they use line, color, texture. Every mark is layed down by the artist, so if you can connect with those little moments, it helps the artist feel seen.

Ooooh the motion in this one is absolutely lovely!

Thank you I'm so glad you enjoyed them! I'm *very* partial to blue and gold so I think Neferi is probably my favorite.

A thread about FM's secret theme this year, which I was honored to be able to assist with!

'Grats to Ringer and the rest of the team for pulling off the surprise pivot, I had lots of people stop by my table to talk about how cool they thought it was 🔥

If you were following (or at) @furrymigration.org last weekend you may have already seen a bunch of my work in the form of the title card designs for the cast of characters (brought to life by @inkmaven.bsky.social who did an incredible job) or the microsite design/dev (whokilledcorv.us).

Confession time: it took me a shamefully long time to realize that people posting the "Human artists! Share/repost art with X thing" threads just meant art *made by* humans, not only artists who drew humans.

I was like, 'man, what have they got against furries and animal/creature artists?' 😂

No prob! I get the sense that it's one of those programs that can be as simple or complex as you want to make it.
inkmaven.bsky.social
I haven't personally used it but I'm pretty sure my friend @enchantedpencil.bsky.social swears by SketchUp? Hopefully they can speak more to it's ease of use but it looks like it has a free browser version.

A commission that got a little extra love for Makalu and Lego 🍂

A traditional illustration done in alcohol ink markers. It features a pair of foxes walking a forest path, hand in hand and engaged in conversation.

Upside: homecon means I get to work I my office.

Downside: my manager is a menace and is trying her best to prevent me from working (she stole my chair when I got up to plug in my phone)...
A cheeky tuxedo cat sits in front of the camera, decisively between their seat and current project. Aforementioned cheeky tuxedo sits upon the very chair the photographer is meant to be sitting in. The light casts a sleek shine that accentuates the scritch-marks in her fur.

Have you been keeping up with the clues on whokilledcorv.us?

We’ve managed to get ahold of transcripts for some of the suspect interviews – give them a read and see whether you notice anything suspicious!

The text reads "Suspect: Byeol Yoon, the researcher" A graphic containing artwork of an anthropomorphic wild canine. They are wearing an elegant blue dress with golden jewelry and a collar-like shawl. The text reads "Suspec: Neferi Adio, the diplomat" A graphic containing artwork of an anthropomorphic amphibian. He is shades of brown and orange, and is wearing a very pale blue suit with sunglasses on his head. His hands are spread in a cocky pose. The text reads "Suspect: Edwin Akerson, the entrepreneur"

Shock! Horror! Our beloved Corvus St. Paul has been murdered! A detective is already on the scene, but this case is too big to unravel alone.

Visit whokilledcorv.us throughout the con for the suspects and clues to close this case.

Only you can solve this sordid corvid crime before The Gala ends!
A graphic containing artwork of Corvus St Paul. There is a red x drawn over his eye, and red splatter in the background. The text reads "Victim: Corvus St. Paul, the benefactor." A graphic containing artwork of Liam Shultz, an anthropomorphic dog with a brown, schnauzer-like appearance. He is wearing a blue dress shirt, brown pants, and suspenders. The text reads "Investigator: Liam Schultz, the detective."

Shout out to this little latte cat I drew for a coffee shop downtown sometime last year. They had a little collection of cat scribbles going so I added to the collection.

I find that the colored ink in the microns are quite dark (esp. when you draw over the same area multiple times) and the others are brighter overall, which works nicely for what I'm generally doing (some photos attached!)

They're not bad, just lacking the broader range of the staedtler/stabilo imo.
A photo of a sketch done in fine ballpoint pen with blue colored felt tip pen accents. A photo of a sketch done with colored felt tip pens (red fill on the base outfit was done with an art marker, but the rest is all pen). The sketch features lots of crosshatching work.
inkmaven.bsky.social
In black specifically, microns are my preference because I've had the best luck with ink-fastness (?) With that brand.

The copic pens I've had in the past had a tendency to smudge when I erased/colored over, although it's possible my paper choice was also a factor. It has been a while though!
inkmaven.bsky.social
I've tried copic, and Zebra brand brush pens, I do like the Zebra ones but controlling the line weight is a completely different skillset than with the hard nibs.

Most recently I've been trying some stabilo and staedtler colored lining pens—I like them both a lot (more than colored microns).
