I can't remember what happened with the potential FX2 Powell alignment, if ODOT didn't want to play ball or what other issues there were at the time, to me that seemed like a better fit for the BRT infrastructure and options for bus lanes compared to that inner division alignment.

it would probably be sorta hard for just anyone to do it *this well* because it requires you to actually be normal about trans people, but still it feels important to state for the record that WE ARE NOT HARD TO STAND UP FOR AND ANY OF THEM COULD DO IT.

UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 4: Sylvia Rivera

In the 1970s, queer New Yorkers had been pushed to the margins of NYC. Our trans neighbors faced immense cruelty. But in Sylvia Rivera, they found a champion.

As we combat Trump’s politics of darkness, her legacy can light the path forward.

To be fair, plywood as we know it started here when it was introduced by the Portland Manufacturing Company in 1905.

Feel free to DM me if you'd like other cross checks I've found. The evidence is significant, and mounting.

Supposed to be an advocate for people with disabilities, but is ableist. Supposed to be a liberal who doesn't care about gender, but is transphobic. Supposed to be a policy watcher, but doesn't seem to understand how government works or pretends not to know how it works. You mean that stuff? 🤭

Was she fired? I looked her up on the ODOT site and they still had her listed as R1 coordinator.

She is not in charge of housing the homeless, not sure where you got that from, but she is certainly leading on the issue and I’m grateful for it. If you’re calling her a mean girl, which doesn’t make any sense but raises the question: what are you doing exactly, being nice?

This is actually a great description of your behavior on this platform.

Nobody is upset, just making some observations. Everyone except Novick has some SM presence. Even the moderates who coddle the city’s biggest haters.

We have some small blueberry bushes but the season is limited, my favorite berry 😊

Today is World Homeless Day, and after years reporting on this crisis, I'll just say: homelessness is neither inevitable nor intractable. It's the result of choices—political, economic, moral—that can be unmade.

And this: how we treat the unhoused is a bellwether for the violence we will tolerate.

Need to get into big white beans, good call. Kind of digging the cozy rhythm of making dry beans weekly

Who all is working on upping their fiber intake lately. High fiber diet is linked with risk reductions in several types of cancer. Trying to get more into lentils and cabbage. These berries are not cheap.

Antifa is not a group; the president cannot designate domestic terror groups.

My @brennancenter.org colleague @faizapatel.bsky.social is out today with a deep review of NSPM-7. It is a dangerous directive that will facilitate predatory politics-based targeting: www.brennancenter.org/our-work/res...

Putting aside the absurdity of your takeaway, now that you mentioned it: Do *you* have respect for people with disabilities? I see you don't use alt text when you post images, which leads me to believe you don't.

Trimet understands this. We need to convince our state legislators to fully fund Trimet operations so they can increase frequency. As it stands we are due for service cuts in the near future, and a larger Trimet fiscal cliff in 2027 with potentially steeper cuts.

A teacher exiting an Uber at the time started to take this video when she heard the children screaming.

The incident occurred at West Loop Elementary School in Chicago, Illinois.

"My name is Jocelyn, I'm from Cicero," she cries. "They forced us out of the car, they followed us... they don't have a warrant."

Both Jocelyn and her sister, who was driving the car, are DACA recipients—and were eventually released after they were finally allowed to prove their legal status.

I kind of, sort of, understand some of those earlier afternoon games on weekdays during the regular season. Come playoffs all of these games should be prime time, wtf.
