I live 20 minutes from the Canadian border and I cross weekly - these don’t seem to be the same guys that are checking my passport card but maybe I’m wrong. Can you break down the distinctions here?
The worst part of the Trumpocene js the realization that so many of your friends, relatives, colleagues harbored an intense hatred for their neighbor, only waiting for the right tempter to give permission to release it.
I swear if I see I Melania on the Truman Balcony in a ball gown singing “Don’t Cry For Me Novo Mesto” I’m deporting myself to Tonga.
Or how the state murder of LGBTs in Uganda is within the meaning of Lambeth I.10.
Intrigued by the Archbishop’s use of “inerrancy,” a doctrinal point that - to my knowledge - has never been used or asserted in any Anglican writing, ever.
Me reading the GAFCON news:
Prayerbook parish, too so would definitely set @benjamindcrosby.bsky.social’s heart a-flutter.
My local is Roosevelt’s summer parish on Campobello Island in New Brunswick.

Abolish the death penalty
Writing this down on my pad for my bishop.
I kind of admire the pendantry here
Please, Tom get this straight

Curse--God damn you
Swearing--By God, I will ruin you
Profanity--Trump is god
Vulgarity--look at her tits
Obscenity--the ever popular f word
Yer-Onner, I was not “breaking the law” by driving 115 mph in a school zone at 3pm, I was merely “bucking legal precedent.”
What’s another way of saying “bucking legal precedent?”

President Trump is bucking tradition and legal precedent in pushing to deploy the National Guard to Democratic-led cities like Portland, Oregon, and Chicago due to what he says is rampant crime and to support his crackdown on illegal immigration.
If you get a third do you win a set of steak knives?
He should just the N-word so we’re clear on what he means by “South American rabble rouser.”
Mike Johnson: "If you're a young, pregnant American citizen women who shows up in an ER and you get treated and they pay the hospital less for treating you than some illegal rabble rouser who came in from some South American country to do us harm, that is wrong."
Obviously there are discreet jobs and majors where that is not the case - engineers, for example. But the emphasis is on the wrong syllable. Why worry whether the Theater Studies major is working in the theater?
The value of a university diploma is proof that you can be told to go learn something on Monday and have it learned by Wednesday and do so independently of instruction at the same time as juggling beer and pizza. Yes yes yes there’s all the romantic stuff about the joy of learning too.
Going on a limb to say if your goal is to *do* what you study in university/college, you’re not looking for a degree you’re looking for a vocational school. And college isn’t that.
Something grimly predictable about the way that the conversation about 'ripoff degrees' in the UK is always about degrees that aren't rip-offs, but are instead fairly obvious 'this student has chosen something unlikely to pay off economically' rather than the short tail of crap business degrees:
Everyone needs educating in the fight over university degrees
Political confusion over the purpose of these institutions means the obvious fixes are being neglected

I am not a Law Enforcement Expert or retired Lt. Colonel so I have a limited knowledge of things, but is it best practice to announce an undercover investigation before you do the undercover investigation?
Citing the “martyrdom” of Charlie Kirk, Texas AG Ken Paxton says his office is pursuing sweeping undercover investigations into “leftist” groups. “To those demented souls who seek to kill, steal, and destroy our country, know this: you cannot hide, you cannot escape, and justice is coming."
