Hello! I go by Serra, and I love playing creatureless Izzet (U/R) decks in Magic the Gathering! I also play FFXIV, and used to play WoW up to Dragonflight and WoW classic era classic anniversary addition and do DnD!

I am a support main, and make bad art decisions like what you're seeing now

My character, Sierra Duskheart and my partners character Roan Crickett are doing a casual snuggle on the night beaches of Limsa Lominsa. They are both fully clothed with Roan in a steampunk like engine room mechanic inspired hat and leather armor, the brim of his hat lowered slightly to hide his eyes but a smile is seen. Sierra wearing a biker jacket and scarf, her eyes shut contentedly and lovingly as she presses her head into his cheek. A single pink heart illuminates the scene.

My partner and I have long always had our characters backstories and MSQ journey be intertwined with these two, and recently they inspired me to start doing this big whole cannon project to help me with gposes. Expect more of those in the future if I do a particularly cool one.

This one was taken at Prepatch of Dawntrail.

This is a shit post quality piece of work. The background is a stock image of a generic North American arcade background. On the left is the boss of EX4, a robot knight lady has a silver coin with Robinhood on it with his bow out. She is captioned saying "No Quarter! No more Games!!" Which are voice lines from her fight. On the other side is the sensational Black Knight 2000 pinball machine game, captioned saying "Give me your Money!" Which is a phrase the black knight says in the games theme song taunting the player to try to beat him. Between these two is an enlarged grey scale emoji of an overly 😭 that I can't replicate on blue sky because it's a custom emoji I use fairly often, but it's looking to the lady knight like she's being a big bully but is probably right.

I make shit post images like this for my raid team for our raid roster bot because I get bored at work very easily and I enjoy making people laugh, and I've been making one image every night we raid and use these as thumbnails for our unlisted video reviews.

Another shit quality image, this time of Funky Kong breaking through space time and electrope because he heard there was some disco happening in M5S and he had to be part of that, which catches the boss Dancing Green, who is a bunny man turned into partial frog with frog like powers by surprise as a random ape wearing sunglasses, tank top and ripped shorts on a surfboard with sick smile just appeared out of absolutely nowhere, as depicted by the very poorly drawn oversized eyeballs over dancing greens entire freaking face. The hole that Funky Kong created looks like it's just paper that her ripped through and on the other side is a poorly cropped and filled image of a rock with some grass on top that seems to denote an iconic stage from a game Donkey Kong was in probably maybe.

Anyways, that's my rambling thoughts on deck construction. Me making a long post about this helps me with motivation, and cataloging the journey to build this deck fills me with joy

I'm also worried about elgaud shieldmate. She seems like a high enough functioning sleeper that it might not be readily available on a moments notice, or it's from a set longer than my LGS has been around. (Or at least doing MTG anyways)

I'm more worried about some of the older cards. while I know LGS have been fairly reliable with locating, my LGS didn't have a copy of Ethersworn Shieldmage in their Alara bulk pile. Fortunately there's another, but it's a pain scheduling wise for me to get to.

I hadn't actually made a second sweep of my bulk boxes to double check. But I am 99.999999903% certain I have mirrorshell crab and Blitz Automaton somewhere, since I did sealed and played mono blue during neon dynasty pre release, and I bought a ton of brothers war cards. So I'll hunt those last

MMO players early on sort of had this gate keeping practice for years. Combined with arms race and whole bunch of FOMO nonsense really adding to the mix. I tell my friends who play wow "yeah I'd like to return at some point" but they're so deep into things they never make time for anyone anymore

I can get the frustration of non-basic search, but that's also part of turn 0 discussion. Only time its a problem is if you plan to make it one by design.

Every time I build a mono black deck, I always feel the phrase "life is a resource." Whether talking about your own LP, others or your own creatures does not matter as much, so long as there's a huge payout in the end. You often take risks to achieve greater power, always at great costs.

Splinter, in one of his upcoming cards, should have gotten Leo’s five color ability.

Leo should have gotten parry counters that function like the counters on a Lost Jitte.

I hope they do something cool with equipments (not just because of @pendragonmtg.com but yeah, we need a green legend equip)!

The "this is not for you" mindset is so toxic and a huge trigger for me.

It's why I enjoy fringe formats and pauper, and brewing with weaker budget cards. Because if something "isn't for me" then it's not for everyone and should never be.
