The thing that sucks is as a trans person you really have to fall back on the unfortunate fact that even as they hype their allyship/whatev, a lot of cis people will ultimately just end up clueless about what they say and let their own preconceptions and bias get ahead of them

Maxis in the peak era is to me like the ultimate Cozy Type Games. The emphasis on free form creative sandboxes with obvious cause and effect, the weird tinges of eeriness and cynicism to them (the more dystopian Arcologies in SC2K, death and etc in Sims), they're the best undercooked example

i think the (false) paradox of "the cozy game" is that it's far more memorable when there are elements of weirdness / unknowns / uncertainty in the world to it, like how early animal crossing neighbours were kinda mean sometimes and sims 1 is sorta creepy sometimes. the friction of consciousness
