At the Lowell Street VNA checking in on residents there during the water outage in the neighborhood. A big thank you to everyone going above and beyond to make sure residents are safe during this time.

Honored to have the endorsement of another former Somerville Mayor, Dorothy Kelly Gay.

Dorothy lead with purpose around public health, gender equity and supporting immigrant communities. Her endorsement, and her friendship, mean so much to me.

We need targeted enforcement and camera traffic enforcement to protect our community.

We need to work with our state delegation and the Department of Conservation and Recreation to make necessary changes to Route 16 that reduce unsafe driver behavior like speeding and red light running. And it’s high time drivers experienced consequences for this reckless behavior.

Traffic violence has long been an issue throughout Somerville and on the Route 16 corridor in particular. Poor design, reckless driving, and a lack of enforcement of violations routinely put pedestrians, cyclists, and other drivers at risk.

The next person might not be so lucky. This comes on the heels of a pedestrian being struck and seriously injured a year ago at this same intersection. Route 16 is a ridiculously dangerous road with regular crashes and a history of pedestrians being injured or killed.

Last night, on the corner of Alewife Brook Parkway and Powderhouse Boulevard, my older daughter was struck by a driver.

She was crossing in the crosswalk – with the WALK signal – and the car ran the red light. Miraculously, she was okay and walked away with nothing worse than a bruise.

So glad I got to attend the 20th Anniversary Celebration for Boston After School & Beyond. We heard about what’s working for out-of-school time in other communities to prioritize afterschool and summer learning for all.

Thanks for having me!

Honored to have the endorsement of former mayor and U.S. Congressman Mike Capuano. Mike’s career of work in Somerville, and across the greater Boston area, has deeply enriched our communities and civic services. His belief in my candidacy means so much.

Thank you Mike!

I’m incredibly honored to receive the endorsement of the Greater Boston Labor Council.

The GBLC represents thousands of union brothers and sisters of all trades, across Somerville and the surrounding areas, and their support means so much to me.

With each week closer to Election Day, more and more people are asking how they can help out and support the campaign. One of the main ways to help is by joining us on the doors to talk with voters about the upcoming election.

I appreciate every conversation I've ever had with Gene and I'm so grateful for his support and continued wise counsel as your next mayor.

Gene Brune is a legend in Somerville politics for a reason. He knows first hand what it takes as mayor to overcome tough financial circumstances and create a culture where the City of Somerville is making people's lives better.

I've been writing and speaking a lot about this issue over the past year and I'm happy to talk to anyone about what we need to do in Davis and around the city to meet the challenge of a regional crisis being felt acutely here.
