I heard Ken Liu do a reading and give a talk at the Brattle tonight and he had some interesting perspectives on AI, I took a bunch of notes and will write some of them out later. It was illuminating.

WTF? I can't imagine my life without the men I spent time with growing up, my dad, all of my uncles, my teachers especially my kindergarten teacher Mr. Russ and his amazing 70s mustache -- all models of manhood that exemplify high integrity, gentleness, and love and dedication to their families.

Just seeing her name makes my skin crawl. I was a huge Mist of Avalon girl when I was in high school, and still have my copy on my bookshelf. I can't bring myself to get rid of it because it was my companion in a bleak time, but I can't even bring myself to touch it, much less ever read it again.

Cousin approves of the first ep except for the part where they cheered each other on during the pull-ups. Everything else was pretty realistic including the DI who got removed for beating recruits (two were dismissed from his platoon). I look forward to the streams of texts as he watches the rest.

Just finished #Boots on Netflix, I thought it was very well done but am awaiting the verdict of my Marine cousin.

I read both "I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings" and "Their Eyes Were Watching God" as assigned reading in high school and had no idea how lucky I got with my public school system until I went to college.

He's back to doing that thing again? One of my greatest joys in Trump 1 was when Macron anticipated it, went stiff-elbow, and rolled Trump's knuckles til he grimaced in pain and turned white. It was a thing of beauty.
