It's too late. I've already portrayed myself as the devilishly handsome and talented cardiothoracic surgeon Benjamin Franklin "Hawkeye" Pierce, and you as the sniveling, philandering general surgeon Frank Burns.
Picture from the TV show MASH, showing Frank, Hawkeye, and Trapper

My cousin's 3 month old baby sleeps from 11 pm-6 am, wakes up, eats, and then sleeps again until noon. My ideal schedule

I didn't believe it, even at the time lol

I remembered last night that in high school i found out about his famous enemies list so I made one too, but i was in high school so it was just the name of classmates who I hated, and then the shop teacher found it but he didn't really understand what it was

i'm sorry but if you're running for school board, and you have in your bio that you want parents to have more say in the curriculum, i am going to assume you are a book-banner. so if you're NOT a book-banner, don't put that in your bio, because that's how many people will read it.

If any national media outlet wants to interview me as some bitch who's pissed off about Nebraska's prison system all the time, my DMs are open

I respect it. My parents raised a news junkie as well

I'm at the bagel place and they're blasting Dirty Work. Similar vibe

I graduated college a month ago, at age 40, and I barely thought about what college kids were doing while I was technically one of them

No one who knows me could reasonably accuse me of being unserious

I asked why and she said it's because I'm always talking about Richard Nixon

*doesn't have a direct link the way APPROPRIATIONS and Judicial do

Meanwhile, Nebraska is tied with Alabama for having the nation's most overcrowded prison system. Since the ~150 people currently at WEC will have to be shunted elsewhere into the system when WEC turns into ICE, that problem will only get worse.

My takeaway is that Bosn et al won't have a discussion both because they tacitly approve of the plan (which is being forced upon us by the Trump admin, with zero input from the state) and because they would have to confront how powerless they are and how much we're getting used.

McKinney, as Urban Affairs chair, chose to have a public hearing even though his cmte doesn't have a direct link in this issue the way Urban Affairs and Judicial do. Dozens of ppl testified against, zero proponents. The governor didn't even bother to send a rep.

Much as I admire McKinney for insisting the citizens have a right to speak, the issue here is that, like everything else in the Trump administration, nobody knows what's going on. The people speaking to the #neleg know almost exactly as much as the senators do.

So the Appropriations Ctme (chaired by Clements) and the Judicial Cmte (chaired by Bosn) are both refusing to meet to have public discussions about the new ICE facility in McCook, even though it is supposed to open this month. Bosn, in fact, said it was too soon to meet about it.

ICYMI: A group of Nebraska lawmakers is trying to get the committee in charge of state spending to hold a hearing on the Nebraska-ICE jail project planned for a state prison in McCook. But the chair isn't interested.
