Wer mal in der Nähe von Jamlitz ist, denen sei der Besuch des Dokumentationsstätte und des Gedenkorts KZ-Außenlager Lieberose nahegelegt. Beklemmend, auch deshalb weil es wie so viele ähnliche Stätten zeigt, alle haben es wissen können. Sie haben es nicht wissen wollen.

Das ist auch das Problem, wenn solche Vorberichterstattungen, wie die von Sebastian Leber im @tagesspiegelberlin.bsky.social nicht redaktionell gegengecheckt werden und Falschbehauptungen wie die zu Israelis for Peace in der Welt bleiben.

Today marks 12 years since the brutal killing of 28 protesters, mostly Copts, by army units near #Maspero building in #Egypt. Like with other instances of deadly state violence in Egypt memories of the Maspero Massacre are suppressed, those commemorating the victims are muted.

Ultimately, who cares what we think of this 'peace' deal! The only ones whose opinion on it should matter at this very moment - precisely because they have been entirely sidelined in its negotiation - are the people of Gaza.

And while every other editor is already throwing around the term "peace", *please* note that this deal is *not* a stable foundation for sustainable peace. There's no real peace without real accountability, no sustainable 'solution' to this conflict without an end of the illegal occupation.

The real immediate question which has not been addressed yet, at least in public revelations, is whether or not Israel will either release Barghouti or the bodies of the Sinwars

The withdrawal line is different now, allegedly up to 600 meters closer to the borders of Gaza, as part of minor concessions given to Hamas in negotiations. This means for the first phase (however long it lasts) Israeli forces will remain in approx 50% of Gaza. It will then be "phased withdrawal".
