loudest neighbor was sharing bands. i'm sure that wasn't the case earlier. moved channels.

seems risky but i'm gonna try the DFS band, channel 52. `iw event` hypothetically will show events. hopefully 1000->250mW TX will be fine?

just wild to me that 5ghz only has 2x 80MHz channels. there's so little spectrum available!

what a difference wifi-6e would make, if only most devices supported it!

this rax120 uses two radios to do 160MHz channels. but i thought it was setup for separate radios.

which seems so much more useful: separate channels rules. at least until wifi 7 is everywhere, which can really use multiple subchannels at once.

noticed the old ass Macbook Air that is having the worst of it was on 2.4GHz. added a new SSID that's 5ghz only.

wifi here hasn't been great (openwrt on a rax120); works nice, then intermittent stutters abound. i suspect a bunch of it is trying to do bandsteering (dawn) and either site mapping or just over-switching drags it down. need evidence. need hope.

I kind of hate patents. They are granted far too readily, to ideas that layment could easily conjure. Ridiculous extenuating patents are awarded to allow ideas to be captured for longer and longer and longer.

Patents favor very bad very large corporations.

Also interest piqued in Amplitude. Really enjoy the knowledge capture ideas in play here. And having some well defined prompts for different modes, some helpers for worktree parallel execution all sound good too. Sounds expensive too!!

I really had such wonderful times in bf2142 & bf3. And some follow on joy in various others. But man it feels like FPS are going to be broadly unplayable on Linux from here out. No idea what I'd need for Secure Boot on my barely touched windows install.
