Retweet if you think Terry is a beautiful boy.
His name is Terry, he's four years old, and I love him very much.
Oof... yeah. Also, the expectations of like... existing CoC players vs gamers are going to be all kinds of out of whack.

TBC: game devs are a lot better at thinking about this stuff than me and I'm sure it's doable. It would just be very interesting to see how they do it.
Yeah it would definitely be a bit of a balancing act. I like CoC as a system but I'd have some concerns about how you translate it.
The absolute irresponsible amount of time and money (because this feels like it would have to be a KS thing right?) I would throw at a project like this...
... this session is absolutely not happening (and thats fine! This is goddamned hilarious) and I am being rightfully absolutely roasted again. I dont think I've stopped laughing for the last hour.
This session should have started 30 minutes ago. My players are now discussing the sexiest punctuation. I might be off the hook.

I know by saying this a monkey's paw curled.
In today's edition of wow do I say some weird shit: I just called myself a slut for a good colon right before a TTRPG session.

A) I was referring to the punctuation mark you little freaks.

B) I think I should just flee and create a new identity. Because there's no way back from this.
My mom is obsessed with these shows and has started sending me Zillow listings and... I almost want to ask her how much she thinks I make.
The movie was... well, wildly racist is just the start of its many. MANY. Faults.

But it did introduce me to the serials so I do owe it for that.
I'm very torn but... I guess postcards. I just think they're neat.
It is finally cool enough to bake bread in my apartment again. Hell yeah.
So I got vaxed again and I decided to just chill out and watch a bunch of 2000's horror.

I'm just realizing that every ghost story's big twist is the protagonist is the ghost. Embarrassed I didn't realize this the first time around. In fairness, I was in my 20's.
Why the hell did Toys have to be the prophetic movie of my childhood?
Also: if they're out of something (mine ran out of hep b the first time, so I rescheduled) just ask the pharmacist if you can get something else that you need. Switching involved signing my name twice.
If you need vaccines (25-26 Covid booster, flu, pneumonia, etc), CVS is currently very much doing a “tick this box if you qualify for this vaccine” method of self-verification for online vaccine scheduling so GO GET YOUR SHOTS before this CDC stuff gets more insane

Excited to introduce Vibes from Meta. Eat your slop, piggies!
And if they don't well: you're not drinking at the right pub.
Look: if you auction off 25% of rights to a newborn at your local, I'm sure that a lot of salt and bog hags will come out to bid.
Would you take my (entirely fictional) firstborn instead?
In all fairness: the first paragraph was my earnest love for hookland and what they've done for me (and I have messaged them about it).

The 20 bucks was a bit of a shitpost.
This is not me asking hookland for more but:

I'm not sure I've read more creativity, more things that make me think, more beauty than what they do in literally 2-3 sentences.

If anybody can give me that feeling in a whole book I would give them everything in my bank account for it. All 20 bucks.

You know, there's something kind of horrible to knowing one of the most formative texts to my adolescence–this meta-archaeology of 20th century popular culture as critique against corporate consolidation and cultural homogeneity–that still influences my perspective on genre and history...
I remember, in Ellis's Planetary, there was a pointed moment where Ellis's self insert du jour kicks Not!Johnny Storm in the junk and unleashes a two-page rant about how "you stole the 20th century and its wonders from the people."

The overarching metatextual thrust of Planetary...
Also, I can't figure out how I would explain to teenage me that the issue where a Warren Ellis stand-in pokes fun of Neil Gaiman and comics taking themselves too seriously at times (while taking a flamethrower to the idea that the '80's were anything less than horrifying) would not age well at all.
God, I still remember the funeral issue being the first thing that really reignited my love for comics (while absolutely pointing out how ridiculous they are). I'm in the exact same boat as you.
