Ain’t none of this was possible, saw it myself and dang it I never gonna be convinced it was real.

The best fucking show review Teppen or any other site will put out.

Interview with Yumi Agawa is up at Teppen. Haka & Act Yasukawa helped me get quotes.

Only Yumi could garner loving quotes from Hikaru of #Kalafina & Ichiro Omomo, creator of Mighty Lady, in the same piece.

20 year career in entertainment that will never be replicated.

This game predicted everything.
Plot of Urban Strike which “centers around the antagonist H. R. Malone, a millionaire media mogul who once ran for President of the United States. Despite losing the election, Malone's charisma has continued to sway many Americans to his side. Malone's agenda is moralistic and appeals to legitimate problems that have concerned Americans, such as violence, political corruption and organized crime.”

"Go Birds!", more than just a rally cry for a football team, but a regional greeting you'll hear everywhere near Philly during the fall. An energy of optimism and excitement despite the state of the universe. An energy that defined Day 3 of the XPoNential Music Festival

Go Birds! 2025 XPoNential Music Festival Day 3. Thoughts & Photos
The third day of the XPoNential Music Festival presented by Subaru continued the Philly love fest. More artists with deep roots in the city, a surprise visit, and an Australian headliner made the day ...

This was my chance for some experimental photography & also pay tribute to the PNW scene I grew up in.

I was just a young teen when Charles Peterson was in Seattle clubs capturing blurred-out magic for Sub Pop. So b/c of Teppen I found myself in a Seattle club on a Friday night & shot in his style.
Massively blurred photo of a dancing HARU NEMURI on stage in Seattle at Madame Lou’s.

Asking this question of myself is how I launched the Other People's Music project. Let me tell you, it is EXTREMELY rewarding to use your skills to do something kind and useful for someone with no expectation of reward (as contradictory as that sounds).

Sometimes I get the brainworm question "why hasn't anyone done anything spontaneously nice for me in a while?" Which is then immediately cured by the obvious follow up question "wait, when's the last time I did something spontaneously nice for someone else?"

Haru rescheduling 2 shows while on tour because she felt uncomfortable with the venues is rad as hell. It ain’t performative; she took a hit with both decisions, but her team is also rad and ate the costs b/c walking your talk ain’t free.

I cried when courtney played depreston. Craig Finn shared my photo. And my love for Philadelphia is as stronger than ever. What a weekend. Teppen!

I saw her hair and went “wait a minute!” & thought the same thing too!

just an amazing couple of days at XPN fest, I'll probably post more about it in detail on here - definitely a blog post or 3 coming (I haven't figured out how I'm gonna lay it out lol) But man, photographing Sharon Van Etten for Teppen was a really emotional thing that didn't hit me til it happened

We keep getting invited to stuff so we’re gonna keep showing up. I have some words on this but first Rich will be in Brooklyn for Haru with top notch photography. I essentially stood on the side of the stage all evening for Haru’s concert.
Photo of Teppen’s media pass for Haru Nemuri at Madame Lou’s in Seattle. It’s labeled “MEDIA 9/19/25” Haru Nemuri on stage at the start of her set at Madame Lou’s in Seattle. Excited Haru standing between the stage monitors in front of the crowd with her in ear monitors off and dangling behind her back. They fell out one of the times she danced in the crowd. Haru in blue lighting singing with her hand in the air. She is very animated and rarely stands still so this was a somewhat rare moment.

Social media is just so misleading b/c followers & likes don’t necessarily translate into anything else. I know bands that got burned w/ making merch or pressing vinyl b/c all those likes, quotes, & yes comments never showed up w/ 💰Seen a few articles w/ 1,000s of likes but 60 actual clicks.

Yeah this the monster truck cds, Hana picture disc, & a few more adult things too. I love that you can tell the Ram release is from Lake Shark b/c Sam aka The Rita, has a signature style. Gravure Girls – Saki Akai (the lo-rez art feels right)
More Slit Throats releases including a Lake Shark Ram Kaichow themed album. 2 different Big Foot monster truck albums, Hana lathe cut picture disc, Saki Akai Gravure Girls album

A bunch of the tape releases and the Manami Toyota set w/ gravure booklet. I have alternate layouts of the SLK trifold artwork as I was a sounding board for the art direction. That Suzu tape is mean as hell w/ wicked photos. Gold band on the Sareee tape is a nice touch. Madusa has tons of extras.
Sareee tape was UK tour exclusive. Our Enemy, Civilization is not part of the Joshi worship series but rad nonetheless. Head Wound Sadism split has cool Shinkiba violence artwork (Roman shared a YouTube link of the match). Toyota set has all types of stuff included, even a trading card. Suzu tape all red and bloody photos, perfect. SLK tape was something I knew about prior to public release as I said, but cool to have a physical copy.

The Blood Quest of Sera Risa is the ultra ltd version, number 1 of 6 that includes a DVD of the film he projects during performances and Gravure Girls CD. Mayu Iwatani has a hand cut belt around the album. Special edition of Women’s Most Violent that I think was for the last Japan tour.
Sera Risa special packaging with tape, cd/dvd. Women’s most violent (possibly a tour edition) and Mayu Iwatani album with hand made stardom style belt.

End of an era: years worth of Slit Throats releases that became a mountain at Roman‘s house. It was covid so I said wait to ship & then the rule was the pile can grow until it falls on Maika (his cat) or he gets sick of it. Mailed it out before heading to Japan for Machine Parts. I’ll the post more.
Shipping box containing various Slit Throats releases. Tapes ,CDs, lathe, stickers, wrist band & pins. Includes special packaged albums.

Early 90s Fripp is some of my fav & sorta overlooked. Soundscape era begins but remnants of frippertronics are still present. RFSQ Live in Japan is perfect & a VHS I got in the 90s. In the early 2000s Bert Lams was a great mentor to me when I did Seattle GC courses.

I found the same with Yuna Manase when I interviewed her a year ago. AgZ was vaguely alluded to as having “left Stardom to begin working for other companies.” Then mentioned in passing at the start of her TJPW section.

She built an entire company/generation of Joshi; no need to mention it.
