The author of the strategy, David Yager, has been lobbying for the government to take it easy on the fossil fuel industry for years. He was paid almost $300k by Danielle Smith to put his opinions into a mature asset strategy that has secretly been approved by cabinet (they won't confirm).

It takes an accounting concept and uses it to suggest the government is somehow responsible for ensuring profits for the fossil fuel industry.

Judge: That's what I'll do. Prohibit federalization or deployment of any NG troops into Oregon. For all reasons in prior opinion. Deployment of federalized military is ultra vires and contrary to law, violating Title 10, section 12406. I also find it's likely that defendants violate 10th Amendment.

This green smoke isn’t super common. Raised concerns in 2020. Documenting DHS munitions may help accountability later.

Now it seems like every time I turn around there’s more in the news about a coal comeback.

In this story, the EPA is making it easier for power plants to release pollution into waterways…including mercury and arsenic…which cause cancer.
