This is the case of the AER CEO overruling his own hearing commissioners after allegedly consulting with the Minister of Energy and Minerals. The justice have agreed the appeal meets the requirements to proceed.

NEW: Calgary city council has voted against adding the debate over banning national flag raisings at city hall to today's meeting. Mayor Farkas said it would've required 10 votes to pass. Some councillors argued it wasn't an urgent motion.
