again: you can openly pursue a policy of ethnic cleansing and be received as engaging in "racially charged rhetoric" so long as you are not sufficiently rude about it. and yet the present administration cannot manage even this

in the elite circles of the US, racism is treated less as a matter of social stratification with direct implications for political stakes and more as a matter of moral etiquette. it is even more notable, then, that this administration can't constrain themselves to the meager associated standards

"Reporter: Do any of you have a favorite animal?

Child: My favorite one is a gold snake that can move. It has gold eyes, and it has a super-duper tail…

Reporter: Mr. Mamdani, the second question for you.

Mamdani: Yes. It’s also the golden snake."

Ida B. Wells-Barnett and Jane Addams worked together. They differed on topic of lynching. Both condemned it but Addams considered it an excessive punishment. Like many other critics, Addams did not challenge the racist-sexist explanation for why lynchings were being carried out. Wells-Barnett did.

Wait so they're asking JAG lawyers to do this shit? Is that because they can't just walk off the job? I know shit about shit here. Lawyer types, what's the play here for the DOJ? Why do this?
JUST IN: Despite moves by Trump to ease the surge in Minnesota, military lawyers have started taking over for civilian prosecutors in federal court there. More in POLITICO Playbook

If he wins we’re going to need a SERIOUS primary opponent when he goes for re-election. He CANNOT become a lifer in this seat. He will sell us all down the digital river.

Juliana Stratton is the obvious pick. I hate even having to weigh in here. It's plain as day, and the frontrunner is so bad. Folks, this needs to get turned around. Like desperately. Phone bank for Stratton, talk to your friends, anything, just please, Illinois, NO.

Cops were frequently getting caught planting drugs in 2017 because body cameras were new and many of them didn't understand how the technology worked.

When cops hit "record" it saved the 30 seconds from *before* they hit the button. Eventually, they figured it out.

What kind of sick, horrific conditions are children being forced to endure in there?
