my parents stopped listening to new music somewhere between 1985-1990 and I didn't consciously develop my own music taste until 2001 at the earliest, so I am constantly in the process of rediscovering that the 90s happened, musically

lmao if you google poison dart frogs, the literal THIRD result is from national geographic kids, which was like my bible as a kid. my grandma bought us a subscription to it every year for christmas (and we used to pore over regular nat geo issues that she had just piled up for years in her basement)

did other children of approximately my age also go through a phase of being really obsessed with poison dart frogs? like it was part of the big "save the rainforest" cultural moment when we were children, right? and the tiny colorful frogs were like a mascot for that? I'm not imagining this
