Living with love & seeking peace in this world that has gone mad with hatred & fear is an act of bravery. Resisting the messages that tell us who we should hate & who we should attack is courageous.

Choosing love & peace is a brave act of resistance.

My #Lilac tree will occasionally have a few clusters of blooms in #autumn but I've never seen it have this many. The clusters are smaller than the spring bloom but the fragrance is delightful.

Sitting on my porch in #October, with summertime weather, smelling lilac.
I was away overnight and came home to my three regular alley cats sitting on the porch waiting for me. They look slightly judgemental about my absence.

My two indoor cats couldn't have cared less to see me.

After five months of patiently building trust, this handsome feral kitty let me pet him today! I could tell from the first time he came to my porch for food that he wanted desperately to be loved but was terrified of humans. He's such a sweet kitty.

My #Lilac is blooming out of season. Most of the tree has lost its leaves but one branch still has green leaves and has now bloomed.

I chose the last option - Other - and wrote in "Targeted harassment" in the box for details.
I reported the account and blocked. Thank you for sharing so we can be aware.
Especially at harvest time. Was that a tractor I heard?! Kids running and screaming to find the edge of the field only to realize it was a big truck on the road. Whew!

I grew up with cornfields on three sides of our property and an alfalfa field on the fourth.
If my neighbors didn't already think I'm weird for talking to bees, they will think so after seeing me run across the yard yelling NO! at one of the alley cats when he grabbed a #MonarchButterfly right out of the air.

The butterfly was released and flew away unscathed.

The cat was annoyed.
I tagged and released five Monarch butterflies this weekend (four pictured). Their eggs were laid on milkweed in my butterfly garden a month ago.

Dude. Completely unnecessary. The comment you are responding to is intelligent and compassionate. A good example for us all.
I agree with you.

And also, these people have been taken away from their jobs and families to do a job that could be given to someone else looking for work. It's not that the job itself is demeaning, but rather that they are being used for this political stunt.
As it was getting dark, I found these three #LongHornedBees asleep in a #Sunflower together.

This gorgeous #BlackSwallowtail butterfly visited my garden today! I usually don't see them in my gardens, so I was very excited for this visitor! And he/she let me take pictures!

A bit tattered and faded but still flying, this Monarch stopped by my garden for refreshment before continuing on her way.

This week there have been cooler temperatures and fewer Monarchs than the past couple weeks but today this beauty stayed long enough for me to get his picture.

This sweetie is one of the alley cats. He is timid and hasn't let me pet him yet but will allow me to sit on the porch while he eats the food I put out.

I named him Beauty even though he was a bit scruffy when I first saw him.
