There are only 2 pies for me, French silk chocolate, and key lime. I've learned to make them both from scratch to ensure they are always present for Thanksgiving-adjacent gatherings.
I made 4 French silk pies this past weekend. Very Normal thing to do

So my pie take is there are no bad pies, but some pies have to be eaten a certain way:
1. Pecan: Always good
2. Fruit: Must be homemade. Otherwise bad.
3. Pumpkin: Best eaten cold at 7 am standing over a sink before everyone wakes up

Apple pie is bad. This is not really debatable. So is key lime pie, while we’re on the topic. Pecan pie is the 🐐 tho.

Short days makes after dark walks, and looking for Hamataliwa grisea in the trees, usually spotted because they like to dangle by a thread under twigs. It's one of my favorite things, still, even though I have hundreds of shots of these spiders over the years.

I literally just looked up my local school district calender to see which days they had off this week and Copilot confidently presented me with last year's calender at the top.
Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea

My ex and I started making hot wings, after we made a Christmas trip to Seattle and got snowed in and one of the only places open was a wing joint.
We'd each make a batch with our own flavors, and share. Can recommend.

it fascinates me how most everyone in the U.S. does turkey for Thanksgiving, but we are all over the map as to what we eat for Christmas (as is proper for a hugely diverse nation).
