With the warmer weather kicking in, I’ve been craving fresher desserts. Perfect excuse to make one of my favourites: peach charlotte.

Also, the shorter the selling period, the less stock they can produce, meaning higher costs and a bigger price tag for customers.

I agree it’s too early, but December 1st is too late. Stores can’t expect to sell a Christmas collection in just three weeks. Seasonal items usually need at least six weeks, so early to mid-November makes more sense.

Well, the issue is people say that for every courrier. In the end, it all depends of the local driver, not the whole company. Anyway, I will give multiple choices at checkout and people can pick the company that has the less shitty local driver…

I’ve added a DPD option at checkout! It’s a bit more expensive, but useful for those in a rush. Not sure yet if it’ll stay or if I’ll find something better.

The new owner wants to raise profit so that’s expected. Should have gone public instead. Should be treated as a service, not a cash cow..

I also have a better experience with Royal Mail for the delivery part. The issue is the shipping and transit. Sadly, even the delivery is slowly starting to decline as they are reducing staff and now I can sometimes have 3 different posties in a month (with different degrees of ability and care…)

I think it’s sadly time for me to find a new shipping company. Royal Mail’s service has been getting worse and worse (while their prices keep going up). Now, 3/4 of the parcels I send with RM48 arrive in three to five days instead of two. It pains me, but I’ll have to find a better solution.
