I used Georgia data but the reality is that the same dynamic that caused Black men to drop off more than any other demographic as well as shift to the GOP more than any demographic in 60 years was present in every swing state. That kind of shift is the biggest single story of the election imo

In what case would she still not have won GA if the turnout didn’t drop off among BLK men or if they hadn’t shifted to DT? Whichever you say they’re related and that’s my 2nd big point that you’re not responding to. We DID have the greatest shift since 64 and the largest drop off of any demo. Facts

You have anything to support that? Each of the swing states contained a city with a huge Black population. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that we had both the greatest turnout drop off and the greatest percentage shift. Those things are related and that common denominator changed the election.

Again looking at Georgia for example it’s clear that had Black Men shown up in the same rate as 2020 than Kamala wins the state. That’s not even including the greatest political shift of any demographic. I disagree with your statement that the shift was non consequential because it isn’t factual.

A widespread issue I find on the left is that ppl by and large only consider Dem leadership to be those in Congress and not actually locally elected officials like Governors, Mayors, state legislatures, and city councils. Republicans get that which is why they fight so hard for even school boards

The government is shut down. Thousands of federal workers just got fired over it. I’m perfectly fine with Congress being hyper focused on that issue and the Epstein files. They can’t even get to a vote on those matters let alone the other issues. Governors and Mayors and Courts have a role as well.

I think every Democratic leader is a faced with a different crisis that they must be hyper-vigilant on. Democrats in Congress are focused on the crisis that only they can fight. Democratic Governors and Mayors are focused on the crisis that only they can fight.

As a Black voter I don’t focus on the voting behavior of white ppl since it’s been the same since 1964. Black men are the story of the 2024 election. We shifted more than any other demographic. Our drop off rate was more than anything other demographic. All this w a Black Woman on the ballot.

So in my previous post I wondered whether it was voter suppression or voter apathy that led to the drop off in Georgia but these charts show that it was specifically Black Men under 50 that contributed to this and it wasn’t a voter suppression issue because it would’ve ben Black people of all ages
