I totally do this! 🙌🙌 Except for this year when I’ve paused Roth contributions to pay for daycare — but other than that, I put a nominal amount in my 403B and focus on my IRA. My current 403B is invested in a vanguard target date fund, which is the best possible deal I could find.

Man, strolling through a New England cemetery reminds me that love modern medicine & vaccines. 😢

In 1700s, my 1st son prob would have died from malnutrition as a baby, and he’d be disfigured w/ difficulty communicating if he survived. Birth of my 2nd could have gone very poorly for him and me.

So true. People say, “What you’re doing now is what you’d be doing in 1930s Germany.”

But the reality is, a lot of people DID stand up. They were imprisoned, tortured, and some were killed. If that happened to enough of your neighbors, you might decide it was time to lay low. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This level of randomness is also from the Nazi playbook - when the aim was to terrorise opponents at home most 1933-4 victims of the concentration camps were released - sometimes after days, more often after weeks or months - as aim was not to kill them but to instill fear in everyone they knew.
