On the depressing front, I have found at least three newspapers that offered me jobs only to rescind them later due to media conglomeration.

Two stood out: the Elberton Star and the Henry Herald, both in Georgia.

My Texan group graduated into an awful awful time. Most papers never replied to me.

I'm clearing out my old college era personal email, and while a lot of the emails have been boring or even depressing stuff (lots of job applications, rejections, or job offers that had been rescinded) but I have been laughing at updates from the Great and Terrible Tim.

As a writer, I strive to always relfect our world somehow, esp in fantasy and sci fi. In Kipo, I wrote about a fictional dystopian Los Angeles that LGBTQ+ kids are very much a part of, bc it reflects the real LA we based it on. LGBTQ+ kids exist. Trans kids exist. That shouldn't be controversial.

Anyone who votes to end birthright citizenship as it is understood now, in defiance of clear law and the tradition they claim to value?

They are voting to create a permanent underclass of rightness, stateless people in the United States. They are voting to bring back slavery.
