Yesterday I finished another book for #rootrootread - We Are Big Time, by Hena Khan and Safiya Zerrougui.

It's a middle grade graphic novel based on the real life story of Salam School's girls basketball team of 2018-19. I enjoyed it, an above average graphic novel for 3rd-6th grade

Thanks! I'm not too worried, each stage of life brings its own joys and struggles. The real fun will be in two more years when I will have 3 teenagers plus a 9yr old 😬

Book 2 is a Pearls Before Swine Treasury. I love this strip and Stephan Pastis's commentary.

Book one: Rocks of Ages by Steven Jay Gould. I thought I'd love this one as I enjoy Gould and discussion about science and faith. This book was really dry and technical and not fun to read. Luckily it was short!

(Author of a different religion, Gould was an agnostic Jewish person, I'm Christian)

Folks, the Flyers are rolling. They get a PP off a scrum and immediately score. Looked like Noah Cates deflected a shot from the point from York. Cates led the handshake line. Flyers now up 4-1, and it looks like Seattle is calling a timeout.

I always aspire to keep up with Bingo but I always forget after a couple of weeks. I generally keep long book lists, and I read mostly non-fiction for me and middle-grade chapter books for work, so I struggle to get a Bingo after a while
