Done! The one in the fancy pan is in the freezer, the other big one is in the fridge until I take it to Oakfield tomorrow and the little one is across the street as that household has never tasted veggie lasagna. I know such strange people.

I still need to chop up the spinach, but the sauce is done, veggies are cooked, cheese filling prepared, cheese topping shredded.

I over bought veggies, so I’ve popped them into the freezer and on Monday I will make them into soup for after surgery.

My brasier full of squash, zucchini, onion, garlic, carrots and peppers. It will be filling for lasagna once I add the spinach.

Illegally parked at the Kenmore Library because nothing can make me drive under that building.

It’s okay, the Kenmore Police are likely to be busy. Joanne likes to read me their police blotter. She’s firmly ACAB, but also thinks we needs to keep them around for the stories.

The guy w/dementia has absolutely nothing wrong with his heart on ECGs, despite every other body system failing.

Yesterday his blood pressure hit 190/94, he went to bed at 4pm.

When I had my preop ECG, the tech had me stop talking. I’m sure mine looked like that of the 21 year old I am at heart.

Typos aside, there is simply no such thing.

ECGs are not an indicator of age.

They literally do not contain that information, either directly or indirectly.

This is just made up gobbledygook.

So, my question is: why?

The trick to a good veggie lasagna is to precook the chopped veggies, that way nothing is soggy.

This evening, I’m meeting my bestie and her visiting mom for dinner at Inizio. I’m looking forward to seeing them and a nice meal.

I do have to duck out and get the veggies I need.

Good morning!

Slept well again, I’m enjoying that while it lasts, only 3 more sleeps until surgery plucks that away.

But I can’t fully straighten my right leg anymore, the rain has made it cranky.

Today is all about pasta. This morning I’m making veggie lasagna. One to take to the kids tomorrow

I just toasted home baked rye bread from the freezer and made a sandwich with Federal’s chicken salad, a few slices of Sub cheese and the last slice of a homegrown tomato.

If I had more tomato, I’d eat another one.

Okay, I am going to get a concrete saw and make a hole in my driveway so I can put this section on my wall.

I just finished up the intake phone call for the dementia caregiver support program and every question broke my heart but the woman who called was so kind.

We will get a “plan” next week and I should have access to 80 hours of free respite care a year as well as placement services.

I prefer my eggs scrambled, but I love pancakes. I might make some this weekend and freeze a few for next week when every meal will be breakfast. After surgery I just want carbs and soft food.
