the fastest way to kill motivation is to make your identity depend on the outcome. it's called ego involvement. when failing becomes failing as a person, your brain starts avoiding the whole thing. not because you don't care, but because you care too much.

you don't need lower standards. you need less self-worth tangled up in your goals. the work gets easier when it's not about proving who you are.

do not have a vpn, so I got one to try it with a new connection, did not work so tried again with the VPN disabled, then again with it enabled with a different location, then again with it uninstalled, no luck

after uninstalling, I also delete the steam folder. If there is another cache beside that, I'm not sure where it might be

nothing changed on my end as far as I know, no PC update, no driver update, nothing. Just stopped launching yesterday and I was hoping the faeries would come and fix it in the morning

I usually install in the documents folder bc it's my D drive which has more space. tried reinstalling in the go-to C x86 folder and this was the result

no crash error, and appears in task manager briefly when it's launching, then disappears when it does too.
