The Bills have also released CB Jalen Kimber from the practice squad.

The Bills have waived LB Jimmy Ciarlo from the 53-man roster. This, along with the move to put DT T.J. Sanders and S Damar Hamlin on IR, now has the Bills at 50 of 53 spots filled. Two are obviously for DE Michael Hoecht/DT Larry Ogunjobi by October 20. That makes room for one other move by Week 8.

Bills HC Sean McDermott once again brings up "managing expectations" and "being realistic" when it comes to rookie CB Maxwell Hairston if/when they open up the 21-day practice window considering all the practice time he's missed this year.

Bills HC Sean McDermott said rookie CB Maxwell Hairston continues to move in the right direction, and said there is a possibility they open the 21-day practice window. Hairston was last seen doing more along the sidelines with S&C staff during practice before the Falcons game.

Bills HC Sean McDermott said DT DaQuan Jones is "week-to-week" with a calf injury. WR Joshua Palmer is also "week-to-week" with an ankle injury. LB Matt Milano, WR Curtis Samuel and TE Dalton Kincaid is "day-to-day."

Bills HC Sean McDermott said he has not considered taking over play-calling duties from DC Bobby Babich. He said he has a lot of confidence in Babich and thought they did some good things in the second half.

The Bills, for the first time under Sean McDermott, are heading into their bye on a two-game losing streak.

And, at least for now, what they’re doing —specifically on offense — is broken.

My thoughts on what was a Bills night of horrors in Atlanta: www.nytimes.com/athletic/671...
The Bills are a broken contender and it’s really difficult to ignore the reason why
In back-to-back losses, including Monday vs. the Falcons, the once-explosive Bills offense has been completely zapped.

Bills HC Sean McDermott said DT DaQuan Jones “popped his calf” before the game. He was in a walking boot after the game. Left leg.

Bills starting DT DaQuan Jones is in a walking boot on his left foot just outside the locker room. He was ruled out before the game began after an injury in warmups.

Bills QB Josh Allen: We had our opportunities to take advantage of, and we didn’t.

Cole Bishop is back in the game for the Bills. Jordan Poyer to the bench.

Still no Terrel Bernard or Cole Bishop to begin this defensive series.

And just like that, it's a one possession game. Ray Davis with a touchdown catch on one of his first snaps of the game and the Bills are now only down 21-14.

The Bills have looked absolutely terrible and unprepared in the first half.

That said, they're still down two scores, getting the ball back, and Josh Allen has overcome worse. I'm not saying it will happen. But, when Allen gets pissed, which he probably is right now, I'm not ruling out anything.

The Bills have allowed 299 yards in the first half to two players. Two.

Absolutely embarrassing end of first half from the Bills. Ingram falls down in coverage and Drake London nearly house calls it as the Falcons are playing for a FG.

They are extremely lucky London stepped OOB. Get out of jail free card only down 21-7 rather than 28-7.

Bills starting MLB Terrel Bernard now getting checked on by athleti trainers after getting blocked, and then with S Taylor Rapp getting blocked into his leg while he was on the ground after the play finished.

Bernard is up and walking under his own power to the sidelines.

No. 1 CB Christian Benford is down after the play. That would mean the cornerbacks are Tre'Davious White and Ja'Marcus Ingram, without a clear backup active for tonight's game.

For those wondering about Joshua Palmer as the Bills offense is on the field, he's sitting by himself on the bench. Helmet off.

It appears as though C Connor McGovern will get back into the game for the Bills. Helmet on, and all.
joebuscaglia.bsky.social
Bills center Connor McGovern has rejoined the starters on the bench.

Bills WR Joshua Palmer is jogging up and down the sideline

Bills backup OL Alec Anderson is in the game at center for the now injured Connor McGovern.
