The DHS was ALWAYS a bad idea - the very name is anti-American. This country was founded upon ideas, not real estate, and the notion of a "homeland" ("heimat" in German) is foreign to our history. Break DHS up - assign each dept. to an agency (Defense, DOJ, etc.). Praetorian guards suck.

20 Israeli hostages = 67,000 murdered Palestinians (one third of them children).

For a frame of reference, consider that Boston's Fenway Park holds 40K people. Israel killed 1.5X that number of people in Gaza.

There's been a notable escalation of rhetoric. Speaker Johnson, Trump's echo chamber, now refers to Dems as "Marxists" and "pro-Hamas" and to protests like No Kings as "hate rallies." Gestapo-like action against all dissent seems inevitable.

In the case over Trump's National Guard deployment in and to Illinois, the Seventh Circuit grants a similar partial administrative stay while it considers DOJ's stay pending appeal:

The court stays the TRO's coverage of the federalization but denies the stay as to the TRO blocking deployment.
