Nothing is more emblematic of the hypocrisy of today's world than the women's tennis end of year championships being played in Saudi Arabia, the most misogynistic nation in the world, outside of Iran & Afghanistan. Women's tennis should never have allowed this to happen, & now in year 2 in Riyadh.

If the US truly had a "free press", every time Noem , Trump or Stephen Himmler went on about "Antifa", a reporter would interrupt them: "Antifa does not even exist; stop lying!" And then when the GOP started to go on about it, they would say: "why do you persist in this lying- no one believes you."

I agree very heartily with everything you say! Engelbert deserved to keep getting booed and getting the finger from WNBA fans last PM during the trophy presentation. She's damn lucky her haughty & condescending attitude was not on display in Paris in 1789, as the French would know what to do...

To put a cherry on top of the worst-officiated season in WNBA history, Game 4 saw the Aces shoot 35 free throws to the Mercury's 19. And Phoenix's coach was ejected in the 3rd quarter for what reason, no one seems to know. Maybe it is unfortunate that the ABL was muscled out by the WNBA 27 yrs ago.

If I were a big investor in women's sports, like Serena Williams, I might think seriously about buying a franchise in a new women's professional basketball league if one emerges from the stonewalling of owners in CBA negotiations & the WNBA implodes. Caitlin & Serena would make one hell of a team.

Engelbert & owners have done zippo when it comes to the massive increase in the WNBA's popularity. All of this came about w/ the arrival of new stars like Caitlin Clark. But, Engelbert is quick to take credit for what she had absolutely nothing to do with, like any crappy, pompous & unqualified CEO.

All you ever hear from Engelbert is that she has done a lot for the WNBA since becoming commissioner- expansion teams (paying $250 million a pop) & media deals.
Of course, she fails to mention that all of this benefits only the owners & that none would have happened w/ out massive player popularity.

The fans ceaselessly booing Commissioner Cathy Engelbert at the WNBA trophy presentation last PM shows that they can all see what the league denies: the owners & Engelbert are trying to screw over the players in the CBA bargaining talks. Again. Their brazen greed is anathema to all that is American.
