you do not want to be running in a Democratic primary as the guy who was like "sure Trump has his flaws but let's not go overboard with our criticism." Not next year, not in 2028, not ever.

this does not contradict what I said in any sense -- the refusal of other prosecutors to participate in this and the leaking about how weak the case is still matters! it makes the case less likely to succeed. let's see how far it gets

I think one thing Dems need to realize is that "Americans" are not buying into the "cities on fire" lies of this admin.

It's JUST Republicans. So if you're a governor of a solidly blue state, or a blue-city mayor, the national story is NOT YOURS.

This is great strategy. Creating the illusion of a “trap” sets conditions for compliance. The issue is dictatorship and tyranny. The solution isn’t handwringing about their narrative.

I believe the reason Bondi, Miller, Patel etc etc keep acting so defiant is because they’ve all been been told The Felon will blanket pardon everyone who worked for or carried out orders from his administration.
