A trend I’ve noticed after having watched too many of these despicable ICE arrest videos is when bystanders demand they let detainee go, an officer suggests they’re being picked up for a serious crime to try and deter help. But we know that’s not true of a vast majority of people and the jig is up.

New — Video shared with me shows ICE officers in DC detaining a man on Friday.

Bystander filming asks man for his name. ICE agent lies and says he’s not allowed to speak to him “by law” and another says “We’ve arrested American citizens for being too close…If he gets any closer, put him in cuffs.”

If you’re in El Paso, home to Ft. Bliss and Biggs Field, and need food assistance, the Mustard Seed Cafe (where I volunteered) provides hot fresh food Wed-Friday. No questions asked. It’s main purpose was providing meals in a restaurant and dignified setting for unhoused, but is now for all… free.

Important points. This demonstrates how authoritarian regimes assume control step-by-step through extensive use of propaganda. This has been working by “informing” the population, both supporters of the regime & its opponents, of the ‘unusual circumstances’ which require intervention by the state.

NYT piece calls these MAGA types "provocateurs." It describes "dueling versions of reality." Both are common MSM tropes.

But these are not provocateurs. They're propagandists. Only one side is employing deliberate deceptions on a vast scale for instrumental ends. 3/
