I want to point out two things here.

One, the White House would not go on the record with a comment about this story, despite me giving them multiple extensions. Only asked for off the record conversations.

Two, this is not a denial. Instead, they're saying other CBS execs yucked it up with Trump.

"Worse than Bush after Katrina" is a polling benchmark that I thought that partisan polarization had made impossible
Pollster: 58% of Americans say Trump's second term has been a failure. A year into term number two, Trump's numbers look worse than any other president. Trump is even worse than George W. Bush after Katrina and a long period in the Iraq War. This is really, really bad.

Over the weekend, the White House and the Department of Homeland Security shared posts with a song, "We'll Have Our Home Again."

I dug into the group that performed and popularized it. Its cofounder said his goal was to create "the seed of an eventual government." www.splcenter.org/resources/ha...

I just need to explain how absurd the court cases around the offshore wind projects are getting

Because the federal government is arguing it paused work on the wind projects to try and mitigate impacts to security

But they’re refusing to give any info about security impacts to the companies

Gets at one of the dynamics rotting away at everything: People are inclined to trust "influencers" more than "the media." But influencers have no ethics rules and can take payouts for coverage. Outside the media, how many people know that we can't even let a source buy us dinner?

You can draw a draw a straight line from a right wing YouTuber's unverified viral video about Somali American daycares to ICE showing up in Minneapolis to this killing.

This feels like a galvanizing moment for the city in the same way George Floyd's death was five years ago.
