Nothing says I don’t care about the Nobel Prize like taking someone else’s Nobel Prize
REPORTER: Can you speak to your letter you wrote to the prime minster saying the Nobel Prize influenced your thinking on Greenland?

TRUMP: I don't care about the Nobel Prize. First of all, a very fine woman felt that I deserved it and really wanted me to have the Nobel Prize, and I appreciate that.

Horrifying
I am not exaggerating when I say ICE functions as a terrorist organization in the Twin Cities. The goal seems to be to harass and frighten people (the ones who are lucky enough to not be abducted, at least) and it's deeply unsettling when you learn they're in your neighborhood.

Thought the opener of this thread was a metaphor. Wow/yikes
I just woke up from a nap and somehow while I was asleep, everyone on the bus has figured out we are not going to the right place

Still not over the fact these were texts
When you think about it, it was a pretty sly move by the Norwegian prime minister to make public his text conversation with Trump -- the one that revealed how Trump's pique over the Nobel prize is fueling his designs to take over Greenland.

Smart dog
even if it was true that Mamdani kissed Trump's ass so well that Trump is playing nice with NYC, we would not accept that behavior from Tim Walz or Jacob Frey we demand they stand up to Trump.
January 20, 2026 at 1:44 AM
Thank you for your service
Whitmer was dragged for filth for meeting with Trump. Mamdani did the same thing and was called a GENIUS. At least Whitmer had a sense of shame; ZM smiled and shook the fucker's hand.

What is even happening? 😵‍💫

The post she reposts is literally a Congressional Democrat calling for it
I agree.

Cong Dems cannot make this happen. But they should be calling for it.
-The world's most important alliance is being destroyed by one mentally disturbed man.
-That man outright says there is *no* limit on his power except his own "morality"[sic]. Including to make war

Which side are we on?
The 25th Amendment must be invoked by the cabinet. I’m all for pressuring them. Congressional Dems should lead the charge. Not on Bluesky or Threads. Let’s do it.

You are beautiful Minnesota 🫶
it is -10 here today. I was supposed to go do a volunteer shift standing outside loading groceries into people’s cars to deliver to families stuck at home. just got a call not to come in because they have too many volunteers already. if you were wondering if the cold would stop us.

The world’s only superpower
We are watching one of the wildest things a nation-state has ever done: A superpower is committing suicide because the GOP Congress is too cowardly to stand up to the Mad King.

This is one of the wildest moments in all of geopolitics ever.

My lawyer @gtconway.bsky.social is correct. He was also a Mad Wanna-Be King last time—remind me why Mike Pence isn’t VP?—but now he is old, there are no adults in any room and he was given immunity by both Mitch McConnell’s Senate and the highest court in the land
He hasn't lost his mind, at least not recently.

He has always been demonstrably psychologically disordered. His mental illnesses and their effects have gotten worse, because that's what happens to malignant narcissists and narcissistic psychopaths with age, and also because he is surrounded ...

What was the “understandable reason” “to stop Hillary of Kamala” 🤔
January 19, 2026 at 9:11 PM
B-I-N-G-O
A big part of why we are at where we are is that much of the world, the press, foreign leaders, a big hunk of US voters, simply refused to believe it when Democrats said Trump would be as bad as he is.

The former Attorney General of California did too much due diligence (while female)
You, also, wlll be completely unsurprised that Harris & her team actually did their due diligence on <everyone>. You want to be VP for a Black woman running against the far right authoritarians? Yes, everyone better do their homework first. This whole non-issue reveals stuff, but not about Harris.

Every accusation is a confession
The reason the “paid protestor” accusation is so popular is that these are people who cannot imagine doing something because it’s right, to stand up for a principle, talking to other people like that.
Rep. Byron Donalds: "These agitators -- who by the way are paid, folks. America, they are paid to do this kind of mess."

Team of Sociopaths
Yes. My theory of the moment is Miller/Vance thought their view that immigrants threaten social solidarity would be widely shared. But ICE raids are driving native-born Americans to show solidarity with immigrants quite courageously. Now Miller is trying to disrupt that alliance with state violence.
Insightful point here: Even if you take Trump seriously - he does not like the optics - they rested on an assumption that communities would welcome ICE as heroes, rather than showing the type of solidarity that Trump inherently cannot understand.

In fairness George Clooney is now French
We had endless articles and TV clips about Biden's mental capacity but silence about Trump's obvious unfitness when he says he's going to start a war with Denmark over Greenland because he didn't get the Nobel Peace Prize.
Not the sort of letter committed to paper by a well man. "Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace"
