and it never will be if they continue to reimagine and whitewash history instead of confronting, reconciling and learning from it.

There was a vision, maybe not perfect or inclusive, but we could change that and truly be a nation of life, liberty, justice and freedom. We could. I believe it.

and just look at how much the WORLD has gone to poo in the 249 year history of the United States and how much that poo has accelerated in just the last 10 months 🤣

Like I'm just saying the US isn't the posterchild of prosperity, justice and freedom that it so desperately wants to be

We had not one, but thousands of civilizations and we were thriving here. In just 533 years, just look at how much of the biodiversity of the Americas and Carribean have been threatened and destroyed, including Indigenous peoples.

Let me take a minute to remind folks that Christopher Columbus did NOT discover new lands. These lands were already home to Indigenous peoples since time immemorial, they were never wild or in need of taming. We had language, culture and even a spiritual connection to Creator.

I've been working on an article for Indigenous Peoples Day, we're finalizing and then this happens 🤣

Ironically, for a POTUS complaining about the "rewriting" of history, he just did a MAJOR rewriting of history or should I say a complete REIMAGINING.

Defense Sec. Pete Hegseth says the soldiers who carried out the 1890 Wounded Knee Massacre deserve their Medals of Honor. Advocate @johnniejae.bsky.social (Otoe-Missouria & Choctaw) exposes how this choice glorifies atrocity and erases truth.

With Wounded Knee Medals, Trump Admin Suggests There’s Valor in Genocide
The call to rescind those medals is not about erasing history, but about refusing to let lies and conquest define it.

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

Like how ridiculous is it that wanting that kind of world is seen as radical, militant and scary?
johnniejae.bsky.social
Real Radical, Militant and Scary, this one 🤣

I shouldn't joke but seriously, in this political climate, if I end up detained or disappeared, don't buy into the idea I was ever anything more than just a weird ass Native who believed in silliness, creativity, justice and basic human decency
johnniejae.bsky.social
Imagine the nerve of labeling me "Radical", "Militant" and "Scary" when I'm over here just living my life like this 🤣 I mean, I guess I can see the scary cuz having someone put a finger in your mouth when you yawn is unnerving and creepy. *big long sigh* I deserve better Villains!

And when we finally see ourselves in that darkness, we don’t just fear it or survive it. We become something new, something unafraid to keep telling the story.

Horror, at its best, doesn’t just help us face what hides in the dark; it gives us the courage to name it. It’s a mirror that reflects the monsters we are, the histories we inherit, and the silences we allow.

In this interview, he talks about what inspires his work, the pressures Native artists face, and why he refuses to let anyone else define what Native art should be. His story is about returning to creativity and carving out space for Indigenous expression that is alive and limitless.

She was elected to Congress two weeks ago, officially making her the final vote needed to force the release of the Epstein files.

She has still not been sworn in because Mike Johnson refuses to do so.
