![Alicia Stroble filed an appeal to after the Oklahoma Tax Commission denied her original request then vacated the recommendation of an administrative law judge that the exemption be granted.

STATEMENT
In the wake of the United States Supreme Court's decision in McGirt v. Oklahoma, 140 S. Ct. 2452 (2020), thousands of taxpayers have claimed exemptions from Oklahoma income tax under a regulation that governs the application of the tax to tribal members. See OKLA. ADMIN. CODE § 710:50-15-2. That regulation provides for an exemption from state income tax where the taxpayer: (1) is an enrolled member of a federally recognized tribe; (2) earned income from sources within "Indian Country" under the tribe's jurisdiction; and (3) lives in "Indian Country" under the tribe's jurisdiction. See id. § 710:50-15-2(b). The regulation de-fines "Indian Country" as "formal and informal reservations, dependent Indian communities, and [certain] Indian allotments." I don't like to talk about stories before they are fully reported, but I am writing on ICE in a Minnesota town that isn't Minneapolis. However bad you think it is, it is worse. It is a campaign of pure terror whose only strategic goal is more terror. There is no strategy other than to break people.

I'm thinking about the major differences between Sinners and Django Unchained and how Sinners is the better film.
Sinners is unapologetically Black from its conception.
