ok just catching up here but the Golden Globes separated Best Picture into Dramas, like the musical Sinners, and Comedy/Musicals, like the drama One Battle After Another? Got it, cool, this makes sense

I hope that somehow in 100 years an 11-year old will be writing an essay about 21st century theocracies and will pull this post as an example of how people still had to deal with farts, even under a fascist regime gunning them down in the streets
we made chili with dried kidney beans tonight. the package said an overnight soak followed by an all day slow cook simmer is fine. internet search results say we will die without boiling them ahead of time. It would be so cool if there were just, like, a way to easily get accurate information

As I was raised a Philly fan but have been adopted by SF, today’s matchup offers a unique opportunity for me to yell “NO, YOU FUCKFACES” constantly for every possession

As a big fan of The Traitors (and Alan Cumming) and a big hater of toxic and abusive men, I was disappointed that this season the US version cast Michael Rapaport and Colton Underwood. On the upside, I’m glad millions more people now hate Rapaport, at least

In case you’re wondering whether the pro-ICE reactions to Renee Nicole Good’s murder are natural, here’s a comment that was just left on my video. My video about anti-transgender bias at the BBC. I haven’t made a video about Good yet.

my husband came to me last summer. he said,”I’ve been trying to find a good Addams Family pinball machine for you for four years. Last summer we played the Jaws machine and you said it was the best game you’d played since Addams Family. What if we just fucking bought that?”
I woulda gone with Addams Family but Jaws is a banger of a board.

Fun story: while trying to find promo images for this video I did an image search for “Brian Cox BBC.” When the results popped up I screamed. This is the first time in my life I had to turn on “safe search” to find what I needed.
I guess BBC stands for Big Bigoted Charlatans now. If you haven’t already, consider never watching their shit again :/
Last month, @robinince.bsky.social announced that the BBC pushed for his resignation after 16 years as host of the popular science show Infinite Monkey Cage, citing his support for trans people. This is esp fucked up bc his own co-host's wife is an anti-trans activist

everyone has the right to wanna be remembered in a certain way so this isn't a dunk. I just want it known that propagandists on the left are welcome to portray me however furthers the cause. I'm a fucking saint. I give to charity. I built houses for Habitat. I saved a kid from drowning once.

as someone w 2 decades of posts proving I love an em dash, this shit is so quaint. I’m glad this person isn’t as terminally online as I am and thus they’ve never clicked on a reddit post asking advice about a bridezilla and seen the sea of — warning them to look for drama elsewhere

I've been head-down working the past few hours so just popping up to say holy shit her name is literally "Good." I saw the stuffed animals in her car. Part of me thinks that even Cuck Schumer can't fuck this one up. That was an actual typo but I'm leaving it. I'm so fucking angry.
A friend in Minneapolis just sent me this video. Looks like thousands have come together for a vigil after an ICE agent shot and killed 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good. This was my neighborhood for several years before coming to Portland.

Details remain unclear: on the one hand, there's a video showing thugs murdering a woman in cold blood. On the other hand, the New York Times is a propaganda arm of the fascist state.
ICE officers in Minneapolis shot and killed a woman in a car, but details of the shooting remained unclear, with conflicting accounts from local and federal officials. The shooting took place about a mile from where George Floyd was killed by police in 2020. Follow updates.
Live Updates: Minneapolis Mayor Disputes Federal Account of Fatal ICE Shooting
Immigration officers opened fire on a 37-year-old woman in a car, who a federal spokeswoman said was trying to kill them. City officials disputed that account, describing the shooting as an overreaction.

In the third episode of the Mr. Scorsese docu-series, Isabella Rossellini (blessed be her name) has such an honest but kind but brutal read on her ex-husband: he was just a little guy, talented and immature and funny and small and brilliant and literally SO TINY. I love her
We happen to be watching the 1st ep of the Apple TV docu-series on Marty Scorsese tonight and Thelma Schoonmaker showed up & I wanted to make sure she’s alive and well and found that TODAY IS HER BIRTHDAY fuck yeah what a queen en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thelma_...
