Little thread of talks about writing and interactive narrative I've done, so I can pin it here:

Hard to say; it seemed to be a vanilla recruitment page on LinkedIn not an actual company.

bleak. $150/hr to feed a shredder. on the plus side, i really do think stochastic modelling will never produce a good story, ever, no matter how many good stories you throw at it, so if you need the money you should take it. But also -- make sure you put the word aubergine in every story. Teach that

Ah yeah. Stargate is top. (Universe reminded me of Dark Matter btw which I think is the same people as SG1 and is my Best scifi of the last decade or whatever ; followed
probably by killjoys)

Got a few spots for testers for the new thing; if you're interested, ping me for a key! You don't need to make an article OR a video, in fact we'd rather you did neither

Obvs we get a lot of key beggars running a studio but i just got I think my favourite ever. Tell me that you don’t care why don’t you
I'm writing an article or video about your game |A Highland Song| and I think it would be beneficial to try it out in advance.

Liz Truss style

A video or an article? Hell, why not make a tableaux? A pottery relief? Push the boat out and make a model of the game out of toilet rolls! But it would still, perhaps, be beneficial if you’d played it first. Dunno

It’s not an arm! It’s the bird’s massive wang and the stick is impaled through it. Particularly clearly so on the little thumbnail versions

yay! good luck with your project

Hi! ink creates a json by default - that’s what unity reads - the problem is you need an ink “runtime” to read that json. They exist for python, godot, unity, game maker but to my knowledge not for renp’y. Inklewriter also makes a (way simpler) json, but I don’t think any other runtimes exist

The rich simultaneously believe that people need a lack of money to motivate them, and that they themselves do the most important work of humanity without financial pressure. In a word, dogshit.

The thing about this is, is this is how born-rich people *already* do it - whether it's making art, or starting a business, or whatever they successfully do. They already know it works.

Damn. This is amazing. £325 per week, paid monthly, for 3 years - and the result was a profit for the Irish economy:
www.citizensinformation.ie/en/employmen...
Post from Threads user rodneyowl: "Ireland has declared the Basic Income for Artists scheme permanent. This will be officially announced in tomorrow’s budget. Details to follow. Congratulations to all who fought for it and the present and future artists of all sorts in Ireland. That includes me 👌We’re just comin to the end of a 3 year pilot scheme. It’s been a roaring success. For every €1 paid out to the 2000 participants, the government got €1.46 back. Can’t argue with that. Other countries are already taking note."

There's a really good curation of 2025 games up on the Ars Festival page on Steam right now.

Some discounts, but mostly just a *great* selection!

god, game design, eh? pretty boring sometimes to have to figure out all the pedantic little details and then convey them to someone who cares even less about them than you do
