Literally; the moment I see AI generated images in something or see a dev mention they "asked ChatGPT" for a small thing they could have asked a person about, my first thought is, "Okay, what else did you use AI for that you're not telling us?" and lose interest in the game.

Whenever indie devs use AI, it hurts their sales potential and retention because it’s a 🚩red flag for generalized unprofessionalism and cut corners.

Getting real art from a pro will make you look like a pro.

If you're a solo dev/small indie team looking for art or logos please don't turn to genAI. I would honestly rather folks reach out to a designer and offer like rev share alongside a smaller up front cost to get something made by a person.

Can't get over this smear from the new Avatar fighting game. They went to the effort of making Aang's face like that for something that won't even register for most people. Some real talent and effort being put into the animation in this and I'm here for it.

Thinking about how vast and meticulous One piece's worldbuilding is and how DOPE it would be to have an RPG that has nothing to do with Luffy. There is so much meat to work with. You could do it in a different time period, a different part of the world, the potential is huge. And no one does it.

This is the biggest reason I haven't been to the movies much. I've maybe seen 4 movies since lockdown and every time the experience is sullied. It's like everyone just forgot how to act in public after only a year of staying home all day.

It's the first real time I wish we had choice like a Baldur's Gate or similar RPG. Like, I know they have to make it lead up to the Deadmines, but imagine if we had the choice to ignore the orders to go after the Defias or maybe even join them. Kinda makes me want to dust off the Warcraft tabletop.

I say this with no ambiguity that I think Cataclysm era Westfall is one of the best stories told in World of Warcraft. And I'm someone who generally enjoys the story of WoW so this isn't coming from a "WoW bad" place.

And Cataclysm Redridge is a pro-war Rambo parody (complete with lines from the movies) that I'm sure killed in 2010, but today is a MASSIVE whiplash from the socially conscious storytelling in the previous zone. Just makes me sad for what could have been if they had a unified vision throughout.

Then you go back to Varian - without any option to tell him this whole thing is HIS fault - and he's just like "OK bro we'll go nuke the Defias again no prob. Now go to Redridge, you're needed there.". Annoyed by what was likely a different writer handling the transition, I go on to the next zone...

In Westfall, it starts with a NCIS parody, but quickly delves into class inequality, anti-war sentiment, authoritarianism and it's effect on the homeless, activism, and how the state reacts to riots and the voice of an angry people. Vanessa Vancleef is an entirely justified revolutionary figure.

Been leveling in classic WoW because I wanna play through Pandaria again and I forgot the tonal whiplash between Westfall and Redridge post Cataclysm. It's clear they weren't written by the same person and I wish they were. In fact, I wish whoever wrote Westfall wrote the whole leveling narrative.

Thinking about the whole WORLD of undiscovered stuff they found under the ice in Antarctica, but we can't actually get to any of it to study up close because that would have massive environmental consequences. One of the last frontiers left on the planet and we have to observe from a distance.

Zoom workshops and sessions over the years have taught me that not everyone had the concept of "You're on time if you're fifteen minutes early." drilled into their head in high school marching band.

It's not a big deal. The 10-15 minutes standing alone in my booth helps me mentally prepare.

Yeah. I was thinking at the very least they'd add an apartment complex like all the other torn down strip malls, but no. They're also building a fire department, which is good, but the pig pen almost cancels it out.

And they're building a POLICE STATION on top of it. This is the store in Phoenix and it and the Tempe one were my childhood Fry's. I think the building for the Tempe Fry's is still standing, but it's empty.

But regardless, a police station? Really?
