basically every 2024 truism is dead. Trump did not build a lasting multiracial coalition or turn young men into committed Republicans. You don’t need to cave on trans rights to win. The pundits have nothing left to tell you.
What I'm really loving about today is the lack of "told you so" energy. Instead, we are just...happy. This can happen.

I have already seen some pushback about Francesca Hong since she announced her candidacy, people saying Wisconsin won't elect a non-white male progressive.

But hey, maybe we would

I mean, you can if you want, but I don't recommend it.
I don't know what it is about MSP bands with multiple lead singers, but it's always magic
There are so many things you don't have to do.
You don't have to watch any political debate.
You don't have to watch the president speak.
You don't have to watch any newsmagazine or political program.
You don't have to read ANY opinion piece EVER.

You can avoid all this and still know the news.
First one that comes to mind is Clean, Shaven from 1993. A movie that I saw once, bought on DVD (from Criterion) and have yet to watch again because I have not yet been prepared.

Please don't confront me with my failures
I have not forgotten them
I got into that era via the live albums mostly. Dark Magus finally coming out in the US in '97 was an absolute game changer.
I know the answer, but I won't spoil it for you
I wish I could figure out why that's the one funk-era Miles record I can't get into.
Also mustard is delicious
Apparently he likes to slather a bunch of mayo on there, which is at least as gross
I really just wanted to do a Real Genius reference and it got away from me
