Yeah true! I don't want this to sound like I'm complaining.

Last year I made a video that covered games that no one would have heard of so I took the opertunity to make the thumbnail not representative of anything, and I didn't even tag the video or call it anything and I was really happy with it.

I hate to see examples like yours, though. Because you would hope that people appreciate good content regardless of the game and share/rewatch accordingly. But i guess that just goes to show that people maybe don't want the content they think they do

At the end of the day we're piggy backing off of games, without them no one would watch us at all, so it is cool to have that opertunity to reach people that way

It just makes me feel like I'm not really contributing anything and that the game's title in the thumbnail is doing all the work

That being said though, that also means that certain videos attract very different audiences which is fascinating.

Over the years I've found the absolute worst fanbases to be Mortal Kombat and GTA. Whereas Spyro and True Crime's seem to be full of really nice people 😊

It's sad but a lot of what determines how well a video does on YouTube is what game you happen to be talking about.

A lower effort video on a popular game will always do better than a higher effort video on something unpopular which I absolutely understand, I just think it's kinda sad...

Video Update: Had to postpone the GTA IV video. Found something amazing that's taking all of my attention at the moment. It's way less popular but it's one of the coolest things I've ever found in a game.

Will pick GTA IV back up after.
