Yeah, I’m good ta. All moved in - things are in chaos still for a bit (we are lacking in storage) but all in all perty good, ta.
How you been? Brain gremlins behaving?
Incredibly understandable!
We’re happy to hear from you when you feel up to it. Take care, mr

ME: Now Mom, just remember, there's a lot of disinformation and AI in your social feed and your friends' Facebook.
MOM: I know! My friend sent me this crazy post where someone used AI to make an image of a giant frog fighting Army troops!
ME: ... okay, no, that one's ... goddamit, Portland.

Lending weight to the argument that owning physical media/objects is crucial.
This is why I keep dozens of real, almost identical, flesh and blood apes in my loft.
NFTs are amazing because you apparently “own” them but the AWS outtage yesterday took out everyones apes lol
She has all these toys and yet it’s the envelope with the plastic window that crinkles that she loves the most 😂
Aww! Ours likes to sleep between legs too. Or pressed firmly up against the crook of a knee
Excuse me, but please look at my cat.
She’s curled up next to me whilst sharing my blanket
I’m glad you’ll be able to get outside in some capacity at least. It’s tough when you get into a rhythm you’re happy with and it gets snatched away.

The BBC are accidentally running the subtitles to Mrs Marple over the Mercury Prize, and it’s rather wonderful. A few of lines could plausibly have been written by Jarvis.

One of my favourite Flemish folktales is that of a witch who lived near the sea in a derelict cottage that the locals avoided. They were thrilled when a storm destroyed it. The witch went to the sea and kept herself occupied by conjuring storms and capsizing ships.

Ughh boss? You're gonna wanna take a look at this (i wordlessly hand you a large, golden, beautifully crisp fallen leaf from the forest floor)
I tried phone and email, and they both referred me to the chat - so it was the last option.
Still, got it sorted in the end. So that’s something I guess.
I hope it was a good and restful sleep
It should not be legal to make you pay to change your home address for car insurance, which is something you legally ’have’ to do!
On hold waiting for a human to turn up to a chat, been more than 30 mins by now, but if I give up I'll have been next in line, right?

Le sigh.

Good heavens, I didn't know this fabulous video is on YouTube. It's lovely to see my friends and neighbours Brian and Wendy Froud when they were still so very young! I've spent the last year helping them with a new book (we're not allowed to reveal the subject yet), which will be out in autumn 2026.
"The World of the Dark Crystal" documentary (1983, 1 hour) is available for free on Youtube.
