Don't believe everything you think.
If zombie Jeffrey Dahmer eats a new person, it's actually less bad because zombies eat people, that's what they do. Tigers gotta hunt, zombies gotta eat.
"Get outta here. It's a mob. ... I'm sorry what happened to you, but you gotta go though. I don't want you to get hurt more than you are."

Props to the Bernie guy. I hope the asshole listened before he found out that losing your glasses and dignity are a small price for agitating at a protest.
MAGA man eats pavement after shouting slurs at No Kings protesters
(for absolute clarity, I have not used gaiman as a sleep aid since the accusations, and will not even if I can't find an alternative that works as well. i hate that the internet makes me reflexively defensive like this, but it is what it is)
If you have specific books (or podcasts) that are good for this purpose, I'll take those recommendations, too.

As much as I like Wil Wheaton, his podcast "It's Storytime" has the same issues for me as Serkis does: It's more voice acting than reading. I don't know if that makes sense to anyone else.
...none of them work as well for me. Andy Serkis reading The Silmarillion is good but there are parts where he dramatises too much, either raising his voice or going into a whisper that draws my attention too much. So does anyone have suggestions for good audiobook readers? Soothing Brits preferred.
For years I fell asleep listening to Neil Gaiman audiobooks that he was also the reader for. He had a perfect bedtime story voice and his stories had good dreamlike vibes (even the non-Sandman ones).

Obviously it would feel gross now, and I've been trying other readers since the accusations, but...

It's my birthday!!! I've reached 34yo!
As per tradition you're most welcome to share this post and make my work famous for the day! 🥰

Love you all! Have a great day too!
The most recent poll I can find has Mamdani at 52%. Sliwa and Cuomo can split 48% however the hell they want, it's still not going to get either of them a win.

I mean, I was already an Aughra stan, but since the prequel came out, I think about this all the dang time:
That seems more useful than the military class vehicle, tbf.
Saying D&D is Satanic is incredibly limiting. There are nine levels to the Hells and infinite levels of the Abyss. Some D&D is Asmodeus-ic. Some D&D is Orcus-ic. Do not limit your TTRPGing to just Satan worship, there's a whole pantheon of infernal and abyssal entities, just in Faerun! Go wild!

It's too bad that one of his worst performances is in one of his best movies.
I hope the protestors dance to uplifting protest songs, make lifelong friends of newfound allies, and learn about delicious immigrant-owned restaurants in their area. May the sun shine on them and may their speeches to the media be impassioned, persuasive, and widely heard at home and abroad.
May ICE shit in their own socks and piss in their boots. May their vomit run freely down their neck gaiters, down their chests, and seep into their underwear. May No Kings Day be their worst day of the year, even before protestors call them Nazis and disappointments to all that know them.
I wish everyone a very angry but completely peaceful No Kings Day.

Except for the ICE agents. I hope they turn on each other and end up crab bucketing each other to get out of their own clouds of pepper spray, even before they get near the protestors.
All the parades he can handle.
Oliver forever. Gotcha.
On the plus side, if the Jays end up losing their series against Seattle, at least they won't have to watch Ohtani pull this kind of thing against them.
Shohei Ohtani this is just stupid...
I respect the hell out of this clothing decision.
It's about being tracked and then accessing your phone if you get arrested.
