Activist because weirdly enough I even care about people I don’t know, that big world out there, not just my family. Lucky to collaborate with some fantastic, gifted people. Inspired and energized by them

Zach Nunn and the Republican Majority in congress are leading us into a government shutdown.
Back-door Grassley avoids his constituents. They did have good conversations with the local law enforcement officers though so I guess that’s something.
Congrats to those in Southwest Iowa who showed up for the Fremont County Grassley event. Of course they weren’t allowed in but they went to try to get a word with him. He snuck in the back door to avoid them but they shared their messages. 1/2
True for Iowa too. Let’s get those No Party voters too
I’m not a strategist, but I have been involved in GOP-dominated state politics for about a decade now.

We can’t squeeze another blue vote out of Kansas City or St. Louis or Springfield. Democrats need to go into rural spaces and start organizing Democrats in those spaces.
I don’t think even as a social collective we see her as a saint. How many even know the saints of the Catholic Church? And the way she used people to make money for her church and fame for herself is pretty common knowledge
“We” don’t know her as a saint. The Catholic Church made her a saint. Like all faith practices they have their own traditions. I know many who claim Christianity who know the truth about Mother Teresa. Definitely a bad example of living out the teachings of Jesus.

Trump lied about Medicaid, and people are going to die because of it.

We have an amazing Indivisible community that braved the heat and humidity to protest ICE and their unlawful abductions.

It’s the Millennials and the Gen Xers whose votes we need. If they voted at the same rate as Boomers, we’d have better people in office. Boomers went through the ‘60s, Vietnam and Watergate and it made them very politically engaged.
These protesters and organizers are standing up for their neighbors and their grandchildren. They’re veterans and teachers and the people who sit next to you in church and believe in walking the talk. They believe in defending the Constitution. Mobilize.us to find a No Kings event near you

Discussing an Iowa Republican spokesperson's published statement that the No Kings protests in Iowa are funded by dark money, one of the founders of Southwest Iowa Indivisible cracked me up. So true. Besides, if we got dark money, I’d drive a lot better car.

These 7 corporations were allowed to keep tax breaks that they had publicly admitted would likely be found illegal if the IRS had investigated them.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration wants to further gut the resource-strapped agency.

Well, I had an interesting Sunday night, how 'bout you?
🧵
NY-17 Rep. Mike Lawler had a local social worker physically dragged out of his town hall Sunday night.

Emily Feiner was singled out by private security, lifted out of her seat, as the crowd chanted “let her stay” and “shame, shame.”
She’s a constituent.
Not a threat.
Fascism again.

This International Workers’ Day, U.S. unions demanded El Salvador return Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a SMART union apprentice illegally deported without due process.

Attacking immigrant workers is attacking all workers.
Unions Demand 'Brother' Kilmar Abrego Garcia's Return From El Salvador
Abrego Garcia was working as a sheet metal apprentice when the Trump administration wrongly deported him without a hearing.

I wonder how many other progressives will be elected around the world, how many will be inspired to become activists, because of what our president is doing. Love that this is Canada though because they can be so snarky
