A lush, intricate gouache painting featuring many leaves in different colors and textures, plus native birds, insects, flowers, and seeds. A gouache painting featuring a grasshopper sparrow sitting among a riot of pastel wildflowers. Behind it a gray birch reaches into a blue sky. A crop from a painting featuring a windswept brown-haired girl gently holding an egg, looking up in the direction of the wind at the legs of a crane taking off above her. Gouache painting featuring a cross-section of a garden: above the earth, radish leaves are covered in ladybugs; below the earth, radishes, roots, and earthworms are visible in the dirt.

Two frogs sitting around a campfire. One plays the banjo and sings. The other sleeps. The image is a digital painting in mostly greens with an orange fire in the center A digital painting of a pumpkin house on a black background. A ghost mouse with a trick or treat bag approaches the front door. A brown mouse looks out the window at it. They smile at each other A black and white graphite drawing of four little kittens in a four post bed. They’re all sleeping except for one, who is playfully looking out of one open eye A digital painting of a grey raccoon in a bluish grey trash can. He holds up a bunch of trash like it’s the best thing in the world

A pattern of spot illustrations, featuring an arctic fox, an arctic tern, a polar bear, some rabbit footprints in the snow, and a forest. Interior illustration for Nautilus magazine. This is putting my best work forward... that I can actually show! I've illustrated two entire picture books this year and made SO much work that I can't wait to share, but that takes a lot of time and I haven't had the chance to make as much personal work! Super proud of these, though!!

For me it's honestly a relief! Maybe because this is how my family is, but also bc I am always worried that I am talking too much or long, and this conversational style doesn't let that happen. It feels like engaged listening (when it's truly riffing and not a "anyway back to me" thing!)

Thank you!! Sarah has written such a lovely book, I think it's going to really resonate with a lot of folks. It certainly hit me!!

Is it the neurodivergence or the long history of havin a rough one in school that makes me so afraid to sound strange on social media?? hi everyone I just want to hang out but I'm deeply afraid of being off-putting and weird!!

This sounds SO SO SO good!! the moment this book is real I will be there. Front of the line. I will purchase 10 at minimum. what an amazing pitch also!

Chiming in to say the same: nope, only ever bigot nonsense.

It's this or waving my art at unsuspecting passersby on the sidewalk which sounds like a recipe for sunburn, so, same tbh!
