The Celtics’ Jordan Walsh has alopecia. He’s spoken about it. It is an autoimmune disease. Kids get it too. In 2022, Rio Allred killed herself after being bullied. She was 12.

This staff writer for Jezebel blocked me when I called her out for this. If you know her, tell her to Google Rio’s name.

Bummer. It means I’ll have to watch it (eventually).

This intro and headline seem mean-spirited, like kicking someone already down. As a trade publication, your focus should be on who’s responsible for greenlighting Ares in the first place and how anyone convinced themselves it would be a hit.

Lauryn Hill just shared a moving tribute to the late D’Angelo:

People need reflection.

I regret not having more time with you. Your undeniable beauty and talent were not of this world, and a presence not of this world needs protection in a world that covets light and the anointing of God. You sir, moved us, stirred us, inspired and even intimidated others to action with your genius. Thank you for being a beacon of light to a generation and beyond who had no
remembrance of the legacy that preceded us. Thank you for charting the course and for making
space during a time when no similar space really existed.
You imaged a unity of strength and sensitivity in Black manhood to a generation that only saw itself as having to be one or the other. It is my earnest prayer that you are in peace, far away from selfishness, fear and/or controlling interests. Far from possessiveness, far from greed, far from manipulation, far from exploitation, far from intentionally designed chaos and that you Brother are in peace, in bliss and in eternal light and fulfillment with our Father in heaven. I Love you and I miss you. May God grant peace and shelter to your family, true friends and genuine appreciators, Brother, King. A photo of Lauryn Hill and D’Angelo, wearing black

George Floyd should still be here to celebrate his 52nd birthday. His life sparked a movement, and our fight for justice, accountability, and humanity continues. We’ll never stop saying his name.

For those who don’t intimately understand how news works and why Bari Weiss’s unearned elevation to head of CBS News matters, I’d recommend watching this in entirety. Also, will forever point out irony of how an admitted DEI hire thinks her hire was meritorious while Black people’s aren’t.

"I don't like Trump, but you have to admit--"

Nope, we're good, you can stop right there--actually, back up about five words, pull over, and get out of the car you're about to drive over a rhetorical cliff.

Exactly. I don’t like reality TV but the unique premise of “Golden” made me watch season 1. I might’ve tuned in for at least this 2nd season premiere but his comments were gross and turned me off. So I’m back to ignoring everything “Bachelor,” and I’m fine without it.

My reasoning isn’t scientific at all, but to me the crowd sounds canned, and the reactions aren’t realistic. No one tries to do anything, they just stand there motionless — while the camera stays trained on the dog for full “comedic” impact. It’s too sitcom-like. Ergo, fake.

Remember self-care. Sprinkle some joy in with the doom scrollin' and whatnot. I love you and there's absolutely nothin' you can do about it.

Take care of yourselves.
